@erinmores but that would mean, that it is Russia that has declared war on Japan and not the other way around, which mean that you don’t get all the bonus infantry from the neutral countries in North Asia

@Makalakalane its my understanding that the bonus only dies if you attack next to Mongolia. Russia can’t move into China at all? I would have read the rules on that again.

You should be able to move into China once a state of war exists between Russia and Japan. So if you declare war in turn 1 you should’ve been able to move into China as I have edited for you.
