@Miznasty I didn’t watch those videos, just know about their existence.
Anyone can confirm?

@HGC said in Unit Starting in a Hostile Sea Zone 110:
Germany has a fleet of surface warships in110. The UK built a destroyer there on its turn. There are Allied destroyers in 104 and an Allied fleet at Gibraltar in 91. Can the Germany move its fleet through 104 to attack the Allied fleet in 91 or does it have to respect the rule of stopping at the first hostile sea zone it encounters which would be 104?
Of course the Allied destroyers in 104 block Germany’s movement. So no, Germany can’t move through 104 to 91, but must stop in 104 and conduct combat there.
Out of curiosity: What irritated you?
@HGC Welcome to the forum.
As your question is neither about the website nor the forum I have moved your topic to the Axis & Allies Global 1940 forum category.
@marechallannes said in GLOBAL 1940 2nd edition research dice:
Hi.
For the Global 1940 2nd edition rules:
Can I keep my research dice if my research failed.
The actual anniversary rules (step 2 / failure) say you can keep your research tokens.
I miss this sentence in both the Europe & Pacific global rules.
…and can’t find any FAQ that answer my question.
Different from AA50 you don’t buy tokens in Global but just one or more die/dice (roll(s)).
There is nothing to keep for the next round. That’s why the respective AA50-sentence is missing.
This has been confirmed (e.g. by @Krieghund ) a couple of times during all those years inside this forum-category. Quite hard to find, however.
@marechallannes Welcome (back) to the forum.

@TitusJames Welcome to the forum.
I recommend that you convert your *.heic images to *.jpg and upload those directly to your posting.

I have already asked @djensen to create a dedicated forum category for Stalingrad.
Renegade has made the rulebook of “A&A Stalingrad” available for download:
I hope there will be a dedicated A&A Stalingrad forum category, soon.

To do a bit of “practice” I played some games on Triple AAA (but there the National Objectives are always active and I don’t think there is a way to “deactivate” them … in fact I will be grateful to anyone who can give me some “tips” in this regard).
By the rules of this game National Objectives (NO) are never meant to be optional. So there is no respective game option coded with this map.
In every game, where by the rules NO are meant to be optional, you will find a specific game option to enable/disable NO.
Of course you can always house rule them to be ignored, but you would need to use edit mode to ‘correct’ the PUs
@barnee Stickied again. Thanks for the information!
Yes, it’s a pain currently, unfortunately.
I am experiencing server side issues (Connection time outs) quite often when I try to access this website.
You can use the tracert (Windows) or traceroute (Linux) command to test at which point the timeouts start. Once you have problems use the console and type
tracert www.axisandallies.org
to verify.
I am pinging @djensen . Maybe he has further insights.
I noticed that there never has been a topic about the Spring 1942 rulebook download.
So find it here.
Welcome to the forum. Of course a rulebook is part of the game.
This is taken from the Spring 1942 rulebook:

You posted in the Anniversary/1942-scenario category, so I have moved this topic to the Global1940 category where the Global 1942 setup is discussed (see stickied topic).
Another issue that needs your attention, thank you.
@djensen Not really. Which TripleA version are you using?
Sure it does. As by the definition of “Island” on page 8 of the pac1940.2 rulebook.
“An island or island group is a single territory
surrounded entirely by one or more sea zones. A sea
zone can contain at most one island or island group,
which is considered one territory. …”
Welcome to the forum.
Feel free to open a thread about your game in the “Other Games” category.

Concerning a direct link to your KS-campaign and maybe a subcategory inside “Other Games” I recommend that you contact @djensen directly. He is the owner of this forum. Also see our Forum Rules, especially #11 (Kickstarter Exceptions).
Good luck!
