1. As far as the loss there in S. France - not a problem. I ALMOST selected an infantry (since the AA gun is the ‘default’), but figured that if you wanted to change it you would (and did) tell me.
2. As for changing things around during NCM - that is also no problem. I am pretty flexible on that - really, until dice are tossed, changing things up is OK in my book.

Yeah - I know what you mean - is it me, or when you make an attack like that - you suffer that first hit - you SHOULD retreat, but your finger refuses to allow you to do that and then you just hurt yourself even more….

EXACTLY! I am the same way. You think that after 1 or 2 times one would learn…but not me! I have done it more times than I can count. I almost sent the destroyer with the ftr/bmr. Oh well…hindsight
