    The explaination takes longer to type than understand but here goes.

    By the rules, bombers, both strat and tac are assigned to facilities first, then AA guns fire.  Any casualties have to be taken from the group of planes attacking each facility.

    AAA does not handle it that way.  You assign your bombers then the game engine rolls all the AA guns.  Attacker then assigns what plane gets hit.

    This is not an issue if there is only a single facility, but in this case I was attacking both.  So, before any dice were rolled, I posted my “order”, in this case like this:

    OK.  First dice up will be the harbor, last 3 will be factory.

    The game engine rolled 4 dice, and the second one scored a hit.

    I dont know how AAA picks which exact bomber dies, but in this case it picked the one attacking the harbor.  I used edit to move that damage to the harbor and off the factory.

    It’s more open to abuse when Tacs come into the mix, as you can choose tacs over bombers, virtually garanteeing that you hit the factory, even though the tacs can’t even attack it.

    Some players (gamerman) prefer strat bombing to just be done in forum, but I just can’t get all that worked up about it in a league game.  The dice are sent to the server, so if someone got really fussy about it the data is there if needed.

    I don’t complain when players’ use the AAA engine, at the end of the day a couple points of damage here or there and one more or less plane had better not break my game :)

    I do agree with the whole bombing run issue in TripleA. I wish it could somehow separate the aa guns for each facility.

    Well, I suppose damage on the factory is “more valuable”, but the way the dice rolled, that wasn’t the result I should have had, so there it is.  :)
