Ya that went pretty poorly for me
Yes - the tank should have died at the least… Infrastructure and I play each other quite alot face to face, and we play a nice modified low luck system… still lots of dice, but the first six pips in every battle gives you a guaranteed hit.
In other words, you can depend on 3 infantry and a fighter to get the job done, and you roll any leftover dice. Bigger battles still have lots of dice, and you still have to roll everything under six pips… we like it, because it takes a bit of the craziness out of the game and makes it more strategy based instead of playing Risk on steroids.
Unfortunately, on this platform you can’t do it… it’s either straight dice or complete LL, which is just as bad in the other direction, IMO.
Dollar for dollar we’re still toe to toe when it comes to luck in this game, but you’ve had waaaay more small battles go against you, and sometimes those have just as big an effect on the game… I mean Iraq? Twice?? :|
Lol don’t get me started on Iraq, I like the dice games even when they go against me because you have to adjust your strategy accordingly, adds an extra element to the game.

I appreciate what you’re saying about dice - and you’re right.
Part of the issue for me is getting older… family and demanding job. I just can’t put the time into this like I used to (although you wouldn’t know it :-)), and I have a hard time putting 15 hours into a great game, just to have dice kick you in the a%$ at the end of it all.
When I was younger… I didn’t care a bit 8-), but I’m starting to get over it in this league.
