  • Note that there is a system to roll for Convoy raids in the new rules.  It looks like you took the expected values for Southern France but the new system is to roll 1 die for each surface ship, and 2 dice for each sub or plane on a carrier.

    Results from 4 thru 6 are considered a “miss”, so most people roll the CRD as a unit that hits on a 3 or less.

    Rolls of 1 to 3 do ipc dmg equal to the number of the die, so a 3 is 3 ipcs of damage.

    all of these new rules are still subject to the limits of the territory that’s being raided.

    The CRD in Southern France, is one of the reasons why I go for Normandy rather than Southern, the other is that the factory in Normandy really comes in handy and you may or may not have the extra units to take Normandy R2.

  • No I don’t defend any strategy.  Whether Sealion or Barborossa I think the game is still Allied advantaged, but not by much.  I’m merely testing Sealion- I predict a loss for myself with this strategy- against good Allied play anyway. :wink:  I’m not really sure if Barborossa is better either- I would like to test that out later- maybe in a couple of FTF games I got coming up.  I think in 3-6months (barring anymore changes to Alpha+3- knock on wood), we’ll be playing games with a small bid for Allies similar to Revised and AA50- which IMO is alright with me- balanced enough.

  • I asked Kreighund this question earlier and I notified Larry about it about the Russian Communist NO:

    Questioneer: “Krieghund, will there be a change to this NO (below) to say “continental” Europe excluding island like Ireland and Sicily, Sardinia being taken by the Russians with easy Allied transport help???”

    Kreighund: “More likely, it will be changed to include only original German, Italian, and pro-Axis neutral territories.”

    I’m gonna let common sense rule here in which I strongly believe Kreighund is right and that the NO will adjusted and worded to mean only original German, Italian and pro-Axis neutral territories.  And yes let’s exclude islands like Sicily and Sardinia also.  I notified Larry about this twice 3-4 weeks ago and he indicated that it would be changed.
