How did the american and uk forces get thought the straight of gibraltar when they didn’t own them at the start of their turns?

As usual your grasp of the basic rules of the game exceeds mine. I say this without sarcasm - a true statement. All apologies.
I’ll have to refigure the Atlantic/Med portion of my move, taking away the battles in Gibraltar/Algeria/Morocco. I don’t think it affects anything anywhere else. I won’t change my purchases, just to keep things ok.
Give me some time to look at the map and put stuff back where it belongs.
