Hi i’m wondering can anyone explain to me what the mini’s are? Do you use them as replacment pieces for proper A&A games?

It is a separate game completely. Each unit is a completely different mold and has its own stats on a special card. It is played on a hex map and each player has an objective, whether to take a city, mountain or something. Or, just to destroy the enemy. What I like most though, is the fact that each unit looks different and they come painted.
