dude i love what you did with your Italians. i think i might do this since i want to keep the OOB italian infantry and the halftracks with the rest of FMG pieces. though i kinda want to use their armored cars as Light tanks for now , since there secondary tanks isnt really a heavy tank

The Italian heavy tank is a bit small to identify it as a heavy compared to the regular tank. Don’t need it anyway. I would have used the trucks as motorized infantry, but the trucks are larger than I would have liked. And the infantry are just a tad smaller than OOB.
Regardless, I’m happy I have the pieces. Now I finally have a distinct Italian fleet.

I don’t plan on replacing all my pieces with FMG’s so I wanted to keep some consistency with scales. Although, the difference between the OOB infantry and FMG’s is so small as to not be noticed.
As for the map, no. The map is not the one available from HBG. It is from an entirely different game. Although, it may be available through HBG at some point. :wink:

A comparison of the different OOB colours along with the painted Italian ship.
I think Italy stands out much better from the other nations with this colour.
Again, I used avocado green fast dry from Krylon.

Good luck finding them. The Half-tracks from Table Tactics come from their Central Powers set. Last time I was checking out Fair Play Games, they were sold out of the Central Powers sets and Jack didn’t have plans to make more of them.

If you’re going to paint the pieces, then just use the Italian OOB mec units. Or use the trucks from Battle of the Bulge.

While waiting on the FMG Italian pieces that includes trucks I purchased some Russian Mechanized inf. from coach and painted them the Italian color to use as trucks in my North Africa game. They look a lot like old time trucks of the period.

Do you dullcote your OOB pieces? Their color seems to be somewhat muted, especially the French battleship. My OOB French pieces are a much brighter blue. -
Might just be the light. I didn’t do anything to the OOB units.

Don’t worry guys, I’m sure Jeremy has your orders ready to go as soon as the Italians get here. I had him check on my order which I made WAY, WAY, WAY back in last November and he assured me it was ready to go. Just waiting on the shipment is all. So if my order, made long, long ago, is still active, surely your orders are also on file.
I don’t know about the rest of you guys, but I got a LOT of stuff comin’ to me this week. There is my order for Italian Combat Units, two different orders of new Combat Dice (including those sharp black German dice), and I have an order for the complete War At Sea: Surface Action set from Gaming Advantage which is shipping this week. Man, what a week.
