@TheShrike I realised I have made an unintentional mistake with Japan. The game engine is programmed so certain things need to be enforced by the player (all such situations are explained in the game notes under Help in the toolbar. The one I didn’t follow was:
“All air moved must have a way of potentially being picked up or landing, and all air that survives combat MUST be picked up if possible.”
What I did was sacrifice two tactical bombers after the battle of Iwo Jima in order to be able to put a carrier as a blocker in SZ16. I knew from the AA 1940 rules that planes need to have a potential landing spot and that is also programmed, but not that I had to actually land on it!
How do you propose we continue, as it is now or re-do from Japan’s round 11? I will play Germany round 12 and then you decide and I will abide :)

@TheShrike According to the rules I should have gone with the other carrier to the SZ outside Iwo Jima and pick-up the two tactical bombers (that in our scenario went to the bottom of the sea because they had no landing spot). Reason being I sent the carrier to SZ16 was obviously because I was afraid of a landing in Japan. I am not keen on replaying either, but I wanted to lay all cards on the table once I realised the rules :)
