Should be a fun battle for egypt.
I could have gone for a victory condition in Europa I think, sending japanese air towards Europa (8 planes could have reach Egypt next turn, a lot more one turn later), but it’s a friendly game, and this did not look like a nice move to me.
I like the intention of these victory conditions (forcing the allies to go both sides), but on such example, it becomes silly.

i agree with that assessment - once you get past about 8 rounds, the crossover could be a problem with the victory conditions. I’m not sure yet.
i think you should have done it because it is probably the only chance the axis have right? once egypt is secured it will never fall and i don’t think the japanese can ever get the cites in the pacific.
of course, if i hadn’t made the mistake in moscow, it would never have been an issue because the allied air (i think) would have arrived in time to save moscow.

understood - however, with the tough start you experienced, the goal for the axis would BE to look for an opportunity to end the game with a crossover.
If at some point I can lock the VC, I will (that’s part of the game, and you have to defend against that, as you are doing towards Egypt for instance), but I do not want to do that at the cost of half of the board (or if I belive I have not a chance).
Here, the early fall of Russia gives me some hope, even if of course, it’s far from the end :)
