Global Map, High ress and with starting pieces on!

Hello all. Just wondering if there are any custom setup charts for the Global 1942 scenario? I have the printout but was looking for setup charts to customize what I have. Thanks in advance.

It is best to buy Mechs and can open and support Germany on the East Front. If the opportunity arises, and the U.K. and US player allow it, buy a DD to keep your convoying down. Don’t make it easy for the Allies to deny you income. German Fts often have to park in Rome to scramble to sink Subs.
Playing Italy is about bothering the Allies, forcing them to spend in the Med, when they want to go East, towards the ME.

Someone on BGG has a global 2e map with the setups. Check either the Europe 1940 or Pacific 1940 games there.

One more question for you folks that have A&A40, is there a difference in the scale of the pieces from the older games, or are they the same?

Mostly the same.  The British and German battleships are a bit larger than the earliest version of those pieces.  And there’s also the special case of the Stuka dive bomber, which was used (in a smaller version) in the earliest games as the German fighter piece, before the current fighter piece was introduced.  The Europe 1940 Stuka, which is correctly used as a tac bomber, is bigger than the one which was previously incorrectly used as a fighter.

well, if russia buys three art turn 1 and saves the rest and collects the same turn 2, that would be a turn two buy of 25+37= 62 to spend in 16 slots. which is either 9 tanks and 2 mech inf if Germany is going sea lion, or 14 art + 1 tank if Germany is going for russia. so your save idea seems to have some merit.

If any of you are in the Southern CT area and would like to stop in, we’re having a Global Party.  Right now we have 2 Global Games being setup and one AA50 Double Blind game.  We have 16+ plus people confirmed.  If we get more, we will be setting up more games.  It’s running from 9am to 9pm or when ever we get tired.
