    • Some 3D Prints

I’ve searched all over the web looking for some good files to 3D print with my Ender 3. There are some beautiful sculpts out there. Unfortunately, most them won’t print on the Ender 3 or other low end filament printers. They are really designed for resin type printers. With that being said, I took it upon myself to learn TinkerCad and came up with some sculpts that can be easily printed on the Ender 3 or similar printers. I’ve posted them up on Thingiverse for anyone to have. I’ve bought a Bronze Filament and and using that for all these sculpts. Got that idea from GIJoe’s video on his custom pieces. Let me know what you think. Here is the link and some pics. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4717543

    • [Global 1940] Trans Siberian House Rules

Just some thoughts on how I might implement a TSRR rule in our Global game. I feel this may help out in the bidding process. If Russia can get it’s troops back to Moscow, the Allies may not need such a high bid.

A -The Trans-Siberian Railroad was made to bring mass troops from all over Russia. Therefore, ALL troops gathered along the Trans-Siberian Railroad countries may move freely from one end to the end on Russia’s NON-COMBAT move. This move may only go ONE WAY OR THE OTHER! There was only one rail and it took 8 days from end to the other. This railway may ONLY be used by Russian troops. The route exists along Russia to Samara, Samara to Novosibirsk, Novosibirsk to Tunguska, Tunguska to Yenisey, Yenisey to Yakut SSR, SSR to Buryatia, Buryatia to Amur.

B - Exceptions: If Axis controls any country of The Trans-Siberian Railroad, it is then sabotaged and no longer functions until Allies liberates. It then can be used on its FOLLOWING non-combat move.

C - The Trans Siberian Railroad may bombed by Tac/Strat Bombers the same as Naval and Air Bases. (See Rule Book)

    • Global 40/42 House Rules

Came up with some “House Rules” that we will be testing out this Friday. None are too Powerful and they all have a little downside as well. I’ve attached a PDF doc with all of them. Let me know what you think. Global40-42NAs.pdf

    • RE: The Bunker Rules

@sweetchops27 I’m going to write it up on our sheet like this.

U-BOAT ACES - The captains and crews of Germany’s submarine fleet were the most experienced in the world. Shortly into the war small flotillas of U-boats were turning the merchant fleets of the Atlantic into submerged steel coffins and the Atlantic was their graveyard.

      1. If a German submarine survives a combat or conducts a SUCCESSFUL convoy, it is then designated a U-Boat Ace. (One submarine per turn may be “promoted”)
      2. Those submarines then hit on a 3 on their first round of combat. This may be improved with “Super Subs”

    • RE: Some 3D Prints

@midnight_reaper I have damage dials that I put underneath factories, naval yards and airfields to show how much damage. The lego flames I also use for damaged ships as well.

As for the color, it’s whatever filament I choose. That was shiny bronze. Camera doesn’t do them justice.

    • RE: Grasshopper’s G40 Victory Conditions

I like this. Very simple. Very elegant. I’m going to have to borrow this for our next game. I’m going to make 8 Blue Allied Victory Tokens, 8 red Axis Victory Tokens and 1 Gold Victory Token.

    • RE: Global 1940 Targeted Technologies

No one gets snuffed. Double Deck (2 of every tech). Let’s say the order is Germany, USSR, Japan, US, UK, Italy, Anzac.

      Germany would select 6 techs.
USSR would then select 6 techs.
If Germany and USSR selected the SAME techs, No other country would be allowed to have them as they are gone.
Japan would select 6 other techs.
      And so on…

You still must buy a tech roll to try and get one. This just avoids the USSR getting Super Subs for some odd reason.

You choose what you want. We’ve used this for our Anniversary Edition Double Blind game with great enjoyment.

Just makes the game a little less stale. That is all.

      Thanks,
      Brian

Correct. If the techs are gone, they don’t get them.

    • Global 1940 Targeted Technologies

We’re going to be testing out Targeted Technologies this coming weekend for Global 1940 game. We have a Double Deck of Tech cards. Countries cannot pick 2 of the same tech. Attached are the Tech cards. TargetedTechnologiesv2.pdf
      Basic Rules are…

      1. Countries will roll a 20-sided die to see who picks tech first. Germany, USSR, Japan, US, and UK will roll. (If everyone agrees, Germany was most technological and should go first).
      2. Highest to lowest chooses 6 technologies they would like.
      3. Italy will pick 6th and ANZAC will pick 7th.
      4. China and France do not pick tech.
      5. Technology rules from the rulebook then apply.
      6. OPTIONAL RULE: Once technologies are chosen, everyone roles a 6-sided die and gets that tech. They then choose one more random, face down card to make 6 again.
