Global 1940 Piece Count in Spreadsheet
Does anyone know where I can find a Spreadsheet with the Piece count for each country and each piece? I’ve been searching to no avail.

Retreating Transports (was: Amphib Assault Question)
Can remaining transports in a sea battle retreat AFTER all their escorts have perished in the seas battle? Or are they sunk?
Scenario: America comes to Gibraltar with 2 Cruiser, 3 Destroyers and 5 loaded transports. The Axis have 2 Cruisers, 1 Destroyer and 2 subs. The Axis get lucky and sink ALL the Allied war ships. The Axis has 1 Cruiser left.
Questions…
1 - Can the transports retreat at this point or are they sunk?
2 - If they can retreat, don’t they have to have a Warship with them?
3 - Where in the rule book is either of these stated? I can’t seem to find it.
Thanks,
-
RE: Building Factories
@panther Thanks. That’s what we thought and played.

Building Factories
I know it’s not allowed in Global, and I couldn’t find it in the 1942 rulebook…
Can you build factories on islands other than Japan and Great Britain??
Thanks in advance.

The Bunker CT War Gaming Event - North Haven, CT - Nov 26, 2021
Our next game day is Day After Turkey Day! Friday November 26th, 2021. 9am until End!
Mark it down. We would like to have the following games played.
1 - Axis and Allies Global 1940 or 1942. (6 players MAX)
2 - WarRoom (6 players MAX)
3 - Axis and Allies Anniversary Edition Double Blind!! This is a BIG game (no longer than other games though). (7 people MAX). You need 3 on each side to play this game. Italy is a LOT of fun in this game. 1 person will be the Referee (This person is in place already).
4 - I’d like to set up a space if someone wanted to play something different. 1914 or Memoir '44 or possibly a 2nd A&A Global game. This will be setup in a separate space in my office.
That is the limit. 25 players is the CUT OFF.
Please email me if interested: DocFav@GMail.com

RE: Some 3D Prints
@midnight_reaper I have damage dials that I put underneath factories, naval yards and airfields to show how much damage. The lego flames I also use for damaged ships as well.
As for the color, it’s whatever filament I choose. That was shiny bronze. Camera doesn’t do them justice.

RE: Some 3D Prints
Here is a finished pic of all the sculpts. I added a Convoy Marker as well.

Some 3D Prints
I’ve searched all over the web looking for some good files to 3D print with my Ender 3. There are some beautiful sculpts out there. Unfortunately, most them won’t print on the Ender 3 or other low end filament printers. They are really designed for resin type printers. With that being said, I took it upon myself to learn TinkerCad and came up with some sculpts that can be easily printed on the Ender 3 or similar printers. I’ve posted them up on Thingiverse for anyone to have. I’ve bought a Bronze Filament and and using that for all these sculpts. Got that idea from GIJoe’s video on his custom pieces. Let me know what you think. Here is the link and some pics. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4717543

RE: Grasshopper’s G40 Victory Conditions
I like this. Very simple. Very elegant. I’m going to have to borrow this for our next game. I’m going to make 8 Blue Allied Victory Tokens, 8 red Axis Victory Tokens and 1 Gold Victory Token.

RE: Global 1940 Targeted Technologies
No one gets snuffed. Double Deck (2 of every tech). Let’s say the order is Germany, USSR, Japan, US, UK, Italy, Anzac.
Germany would select 6 techs.
USSR would then select 6 techs.
If Germany and USSR selected the SAME techs, No other country would be allowed to have them as they are gone.
Japan would select 6 other techs.
And so on…You still must buy a tech roll to try and get one. This just avoids the USSR getting Super Subs for some odd reason.
You choose what you want. We’ve used this for our Anniversary Edition Double Blind game with great enjoyment.
Just makes the game a little less stale. That is all.
Thanks,
Brian -
RE: Global 1940 Targeted Technologies
Correct. If the techs are gone, they don’t get them.

Global 1940 Targeted Technologies
We’re going to be testing out Targeted Technologies this coming weekend for Global 1940 game. We have a Double Deck of Tech cards. Countries cannot pick 2 of the same tech. Attached are the Tech cards. TargetedTechnologiesv2.pdf
Basic Rules are…- Countries will roll a 20-sided die to see who picks tech first. Germany, USSR, Japan, US, and UK will roll. (If everyone agrees, Germany was most technological and should go first).
- Highest to lowest chooses 6 technologies they would like.
- Italy will pick 6th and ANZAC will pick 7th.
- China and France do not pick tech.
- Technology rules from the rulebook then apply.
- OPTIONAL RULE: Once technologies are chosen, everyone roles a 6-sided die and gets that tech. They then choose one more random, face down card to make 6 again.

RE: The Bunker Rules
Here are our updated rules. Added some new pieces and changed a few Enhancements. TheBunkerRulesV3.pdf
