I just saw your post, so if a Russian unit was supposed to be in one of the territories I attacked, let me know.
since this is a practice game for you to see a G4/J4, check out what Japan is up to… on both fronts the US is frozen in place for one last turn, not allowing them to land anywhere. It gives Germany, Italy, and Japan time to prepare for their assault, and isolates the UK and China for that whole time as well.
The down side is that Russia gets to purchase at a full economy for three safe turns - but if the Axis does a reasonable job sealing off the perimeter, it won’t matter much. Russia will fall almost no matter what around G10 or so, maybe a little later.

I think it would change the move a bit. I wanted to attack Hunnan with russia. 2 mech 2 fighter and 1 tac. That makes it so you have to possibly split up your ground units to take Yunnan back. I figure you would want both in order to make sure you don’t lose a plane but either way it makes you have to only take 1 art out to an island that planes can’t get to (if you want Yunnan back which is just assumed).
I also had a german mech in siuyuyan in order to initiate the mongolian pact. Not sure if that falls in the rules but you would be attacking the russians on a mongolian bordered territory???

I really like how it is panning out for you. Lots of good things open up that are hard to plan for unless you have done it before. I might try to sneak this strategy on my buddy and see how he reacts:) I do still want to see what america can do, if anything, once they get in the war. You have cairo on lockdown and it will be tough to keep the oil fields away from you.

Yes, the late start for the Axis is challenging if you’re not prepared, which is why I like it… mot many people do it :-) Most folks are in a hurry, and you don’t need to be.
The Egypt situation is unusual for me - I tend to stick to more land units toward Russia with Italy to help Germany - but in this game I saw the opportunity and took it.
I think what I’ll do, if you’re cool with it, is go back to your Russia turn and roll the Hunnan battle right here on the site, then I can retake Japan’s turn.

Took it with a Mech remaining, liberating the territory.
I think what I’ll do is change the territory owner to Chinese, and add a Chinese infantry to it (representing the Russian Mech - same values). We’ll still consider your aircraft to be parked in Shensi.
What was the deal with 3 Mech from Volgograd? That’s going to be a challenge to manage - just list where everything is to finishe your round like you did last time… and do you feel comfortable trying to roll dice on the site like I just did? It’s a good skill to have for when you need it -

3 tanks 1 mech 2 fighters 1 tac in shensiall the other stuff should be correct in russia. I am trying something different over in china to see if I can make the game a little more interesting after the disasterous start for the uk. Maybe it can be pretty good if the allies are a little better off.
