I can see two workable solutions
The easier is as you propose. Simply use the editor to create US forces in china for “attack” and then edit them back out after.
The other option would be to roll back to the US turn and recreate it until it looks like the map I uploaded C1.
I’ll see how today at work goes and if I can make that happen.

Right your 2nd idea would work fine–just play the usa turn in local mode and then edit the results to match the dice. And do the same with China.

I took the bomber as a casualty round 1 cause I didn’t see an argument otherwise–ie if the brits got their average 2 defensive hits Germany would still be heavily favored to win the battle, so i figured you would want to maximize your odds of winning or doing max dmg. Looking back that might have been presumptuous–if it was let me know and we can work something out.
