@djensen ahh yes that was the problem. It shows up now. TY :)
What happened?
-
how come the site was down for a few days?
-
Server admins (we are on a server shared between several sites) were changing some stuff around.
-
Same problem since yesterday? :-?
-
Lets say our server isn’t the most stable on the net.
-
Out of curiousity, what kinda of system are you running. I’m a back-end database guy, I haven’t done much websetup/web programming at all.

Djensen would know. I do not.

Thanks, I’ll keep my eyes open for him :-)

We’re running FreeBSD. The server was down for an unknown reason (I haven’t heard from the admins yet). And, yes, the server does seem more flaky now than it did before when we were running Linux.
-
Somebody at the Network Operations Center (NOC) was reseting another meachine near this server and pressed the power button for this server not realizing it was a power button and not a reset button.
-
Curious, why switch from Linux to BSD? It’s been years since I had to study the kernel level differences between Berkly and ummmmmm the other one. As for linux, never used it yet…… gonna have to soon, I refuse to go with WinXP or 2000 for that matter.

Apparently FreeBSD has better IO or something.

Sounds good to me!
