Well, there it is. You win.
Two turning points I saw in this one:
1. When I decided on turn2 to take nwy with the UK instead of moving the fleet to z12. That made it possible for you to build the German fleet in z13. I still haven’t found an effective way of countering the German med naval build move. Once I tried escalating naval builds with the US and UK, to no avail. This time I sort of ignored it after a while and went 100% Pacific with the US, hoping to draw back the Japanese - didn’t work. The best luck I’ve have had is by preventing it. I agonized over the nwy move a while and ultimately made the wrong decision.
2. Not stopping your German and Italian fleets from escaping to the Indian ocean. Once you brought those fleets over to help the defence of Japan’s forces, I was not able to capitalize fully on the pure US Pacific builds. It took me forever to retake Africa and by that time Russia was in big trouble. I probably should have gone full defence sooner, but that would have just delayed the inevitable, I think.

hey anchovy, good game, well played. yeah, the naval build is a difficult choice as it does slow down the eastern advance for germany…but I thought I’d go for it this time.
