scramble orders for sz 92? -
For the UK, I think you missed a convoy raid for -2 ipc in sz 106. Can you please check that and verify?
-
Oops that’s right. I often forget this…
Just put my Uk units where they were before you play Italy please.
Sorry.
Done. Units moved back to original positions. This is something I will often forget in the Pacific. A lot of times I will have US units landing in Allied islands before actually being at war. Happens to almost everyone I do believe.
-
Ok, i will scramble 2fgt, 1tac in sz92
At the end of UK1, UK had all his territories (28) + 1 saved (1) + Cpr (2) + 1NO (5) -2 conv (-2) for a total of 34.

I just didn’t see you note the convoy raid when noting your collect income. That is why I asked.

sz 93 cwol
The big Italian battle for the round. I don’t know what your order of loss is, so I am going to roll my attack dice and allow you to choose first before seeing how many hits you have in return…just like in a FTF game. Feel free to roll your own defensive dice if you want when you reply or I can roll for you…makes no difference to me.
Battle for sz 92:
Attacker: BB, 2 CA, 2 DD, SS (note: per rules, my sub will be first 2 rolled. If it is a hit, it must be taken on your ships.)
Rolls: 3@2 2@3 1@4; Total Hits: 23@2: (6, 1, 2)2@3: (4, 6)1@4: (6)
Defender: CV, 2 CA, DD, 2 fig, tac

i will lose the AC
-
When you play, you can just do all the rolls you need for any battle. Unless your a good hacker and have cracked the dicey, it won’t make a difference !

Ok, it is just that sometimes in FTF games I have seen people be selective on their losses based on how many hits they receive. You know, they hit back very well and therefore can afford to keep the bomber and lose a tank vs not knowing how they would hit they may choose to lose the bomber first on most instances.
Anyways, I will listen to you roll all the dice at once from now on.
sz 92 defense: CV, 2 CA, DD, 2 fig, tac
Rolls: 2@2 3@3 2@4; Total Hits: 32@2: (2, 4)3@3: (4, 5, 5)2@4: (2, 4)

I like that ! :-)
That’s why i asked for declaring losses at the end of each battle instead of a summary at the end of the round. In FTF game, would you dare tell your oponent at the end of each battle : i’ll declare my losses for that last round of combat at the end of my turn !
But so many players do just that in play by forum…. -

Don’t ! what you’re doing is perfect. It’s the way it’s suposed to be !

I don’t know if we are saying exactly the same thing. The rules actually state that the Attacker rolls first and the defender immediately chooses their casualties. Then the Defender rolls and the attacker gets to choose his casualties. Here, the attacker and defender roll at once and then both choose casualties. This deviates from the rules and gives an advantage to the defender. Granted, most of the time this doesn’t matter, but in naval battles and land battles with strategic bombers, mechs, art, I often find what I think their OOL is different then what they give me.
Anyways, if you say it is normal to roll all attacking and all defending dice at once, even for some of these complicated battles, I will go with what is customary.

You are perfectly right. I never said anything else. You roll, i chose, you roll, you chose your losses, then again…
I was just giving an example of bad habits some players have from play by forum.Keep doin’ what you’re doin’
That’s exactly how battles are suposed to be conducted. I must not know what i’m going to roll before i chose my casualties. -
Also, note that English is not my 1st language, so sometimes things may not come out exactly how i’d like them to.
