Hey Dominic,
So, I started this forum post partly because of a recent game with aasam and ours. aasam didn’t believe me. I was planning on exploiting this option against you because my G1 opener in this game didn’t go very well (mechs/art in Paris and 3 planes and I new I’d have to spend on planes earlier than I wanted to)…see thread link below. This is how I used to drive towards Moscow all the time a few years ago. The thing is, recently I started having some problems doing the northern drive Baltic>Leningrad; especially against aasam. So, I started going back to a G3 Barbarossa if other things don’t go the way I would like. And if I don’t have to DOW on G3, I won’t because I think this loophole should be exploited. However, if you fell really strongly against it; some think it goes against the spirit of the game, then you can edit off the 5 IPC NO money from Germany. This isn’t a tournament game here :-)
There is a negative to this plan though because now the 9 infantry in Finland are a turn behind on the march plan.

Hey David!
Well I though about it and I even read your post and the reply of other people. I think you are right, it is a loophole that should be exploited because it is not against the rules at all, it’s not like a loophole in the triplea system where you can buy a minor IC and place it at the same end of turn!
If you want to play this way, I have no objections at all, I think it penalize Germany at the end anyway :-) We will see if it pays out at the end of game!

Yeah, I’m not so sure it’s helpful or not…for instance, I could have removed a few blockers off the board and marched 8 infantry to vyboorg (1 to Karelia).
They’re a step behind. It probably won’t matter because Moscow doesn’t fall on turn 6 when the UK helps them. They’ll be used for laying siege to Moscow.
