Easy? Maybe if you had only posted once that you couldn’t find Iron: Axis &Allies, but not four times.Â
We were getting ready to call a medic for you :wink:

@Imperious:
You can buy my copy for $75.00
You must need an addition on your place just to hold all your games :-D
@Imperious:
LOL! That is either excellent use of sarcasm or simply your not understanding that its an IDEA only that would be perfect.
Commissar_Adam,
Up until that last post, I though you were you still just were making an “excellent use of sarcasm”
The idea was that it was an idea. Although if you give IL long enough he will probably end up producing it himself.
Come on IL, we all know you have a pilot episode in the works :lol:
@Imperious:
Choo got it! :mrgreen: I gotta call them as i see them. I cant make games that are actually inferior, because thats the whole reason why i made it in the first place… to be better.
I’ll go with that.
But I’m surprised you ranked Battle of the Bulge above Axis and Allies Deluxe Second World War. Or is this only temporary before you do the new map and any revisions for it?Â
Speaking of your new map layouts. What about oil fields. Will they be designated on the map the same way as originally owned territory markers? Or were you leaning on using the oil drum pieces only as to designate the supplied areas.
Wow, excellent job IL! Nice choice of design with the counters too.
Quick question on the numbers assigned to the top two German Admirals. What were some of the deciding factors used for assigning the numbers to Hipper and Scheer? Did Hipper get a 16 as compared to Scheers 12 mainly because he was more experienced? Or becuase of the position he held at the time of the battle?
Hi Ryan,
 Could you give us an update on the “Empires of History: World War ll” game.Â
http://www.guildofblades.com/empires/wwii.html
Any approx date for release? Still wating for additional pre-orders?
@Imperious:
Naw… just use the infantry and replace them with those in revised and 2nd edition. That will have some marginal value to you.
I’ve using the new mini’s to represent “leader units” for each nation. Just wish they were a little bit bigger.
@ncscswitch:
@Imperious:
If you are going to allow it, sounds like a damn fine plan.
I would simply say that if the US gets to try for it in 8, then Germany should also be able to try in 10.
If US is allowed nukes in 8 then Germany in 10
Original idea. I like it.

Very good. Thanks for the info IL! Appreciate it.
Just placed my order. I had been meaning to ask you about those pieces ever since I saw your Battle of the Bulge pictures.
jerry cans too?
CDSP-01 General Storage Pack - Jerry cans, oil drums, crates, camo net, tarpauline $10.40
CDSP-02 Sherman Track and Road wheels, jerry cans, .30 cal, .50 cal and M/G $10.40
CDSP-03 Sumply Dump $10.40
CDSP-04 Fuel Dump $10.40
Maybe it’s code 01, not code 04? What do you think?
About 20 individual/separate pieces per bag?
How large would you say they are in comparison when standing next an AA infantry piece?
and thanks for looking into which code it is so that I can place the order.
Can someone confirm A&A scales for me. Are these numbers correct?
Ships-Â Â Â 1/3000 (.54mm) or 1/2400 (.67mm)
Planes-Â Â 1/700 (?mm)
Armour-Â 1/300 (5.4mm) or 1/285 (5.6mm)
Infantry-Â 1/107 (15mm) or 1/72Â (?mm)
IL,
 These are the oil drums you used for Battle of the Bulge right? I remember seeing a photo you had of these. How do they measure up height wise to the Axis and Allies Infantry piece. About 2/3 the size an infantry piece? The General Storage Pack is the one that has the oil drums your talking about right? Can you tell me what the supply and fuel dump set look like. What kind of piece/pieces are they and about how big compared to an Axis Allies Infantry piece.
CDSP-01 General Storage Pack - Jerry cans, oil drums, crates, camo net, tarpauline $10.40Â
CDSP-02Â Sherman Track and Road wheels, jerry cans, .30 cal, .50 cal and M/GÂ $10.40Â
CDSP-03 Sumply Dump $10.40Â
CDSP-04 Fuel Dump $10.40Â
Thanks
He hasn’t posted in awhile, but he’s still been reading the boards.
I bet he’s busy writing down “The Duke Nuke Rules” for the forum.
Using three boards is basically an alternative to having to write down all the info instead. I think a btter alternative and keeps the game much more playable. It helps if you have a third (neutral) person that can moderate between the three boards. This can also help keep encourage each player to keep game turns short.
Imperious Leader gives a good example of the three board play with his Jutland game. It’s under the “Other Axis and Allies Variants” section
I would Â
thanks for the interest. if others seem interested as well then i’ll spend the time writing it all out. the bad news is i won’t have the time to write it out until early november. it will be a really, really long post but trust me, it will blow your mind!
Hey Duke,
any chance you will be posting your rules for nukes soon?
I like the idea of fighters being able to assist an adjacent territory in a battle or SBR interception.
Only I think it’s more realistic to limit land based fighters to only being able to assist an adjacent LAND based territory. Same goes for sea based fighters being limited to supporting an adjacent SEA territory only.
@Imperious:
You can delete the “battleship” because unfortunatly on a purist level they were dreadnoughts and older ships of this class were called pre-dreadnoughts or old battleships but not battleships. Ill revise the numbers and it should look better. I got some really good rules coming up that will add alot of fun things including additional “what if pieces” Should have it ready by dec 30
Any other ideas??? how bout this… what would you rank each of those admirals? provide a number less than 15 for each admiral. Id like the german to be higher ranked than the english counterparts.
Germany:
Vice- Admiral Hipper
Vice-Admiral Scheer
Rear-Admiral BehnckeEngland:
Admiral Jellicoe
Vice-Admiral Beatty
It’s difficult to give a number ranking for each of these officers without knowing any specific factors that you might be using in order to assign a set value.
However, from what I know about them and just read:
Hipper:12
Scheer:11
Behncke:7
Jellico:9
Beatty:8
Jellico and Beatty could be argued to death over who was better overall.Â
Hipper and Scheer to a lesser degree.Â
I agree that the German Officers should be ranked higher than the British. They definately accomplished more, with less in the battle.
Thanks. Got the Jutland file. Should have time to look through it all tomorrow.
It would be easier for most people to able to play the game if the pieces needed to play came from as few games as possible. Most gamers on this forum are likely to have Axis and Allies Original and Revised (maybe even several copies of each). But the majority of players will not have Axis and Allies Original, Revised, Diplomacy and Attack. How about making all the pieces needed in order to play from AA original, AA revised, and Attack?
-Dreadnought(DN)- The British could us the AAR British battleship piece and the Germans coud use the AAR Russian battleship piece. This would keep the piece identical in design.
-Battlecruiser(BC)-use the AAR Japanese battleship
-Battleship(BB)-use the AAR USA battleship
-Old Battleship(OBB)-use the AAR German battleship
-Armored CruiserAC)-use the AA original battleship
-Light Cruiser(CL)-use battleships from eagle games attack
-Destroyer(DD)-use cruisers from eagle games Attack
-Torpedo Boats(TB)-use destroyers from eagle games attack
