Never mind on my earlier post about putting an AB in Normandy is not all that helpful i realized. I was reading in another post about an AB strategy for alpha +.2 and it doesn’t seem helpful in that respect as well. Sorry just realized that forgot write down Normandy. Doesn’t help when you think faster than you type.

RE: Tech question
Thanks for all the feed back guys. Krieghund, you agreed that you would rather see a more progessive style approach. Could you elaborate on this idea that you have. I’m really trying to get my gaming group to go with tech. But in a manner that would be better suited for the global edition since the optional rule doesn’t seam right. Look forward to your response. Anyone else who has an adaptation to implement tech in this fashion. Please put in your two cents.

Tech question
I just played my first game and it was a truly epic experience. My question is about tech. What does the community think about tech. My group feels it dilutes the strategic value of the game and makes it more based on luck. My personal feelings are. I like tech. It adds another element to the game. But I’m sure the purists feel that it diminishes the game (which is fine cause we all have our opinions). I do realize its an optional rule. Which I find kinda odd considering in past games it was not an optional rule. Krieghund please chime in. I would love to hear your take on the topic. Thanks again for your feed back. Happy gaming! :-D

RE: Rochester NY area: looking for players
I figured it was time that I’ve revived the thread. Just to update the thread. I have copies AAR, AA spring 42, AAP40, and also will getting a copy of AAE40 as well. Anyone in the Rochester area or some of the finger lakes area interested in gaming please give me a reply. Thanks again and happy gaming! :)

RE: Cruisers and tac bombers new abilities
I love all this discussion on the cruisers. I would also agree on the historically accurate changes for the cruisers as well. Being that cruisers could go 3 spaces at all times (so does that mean that cruisers would also gain the extra movement space from a NB?) Plus I think that one round of AA fire is appropriate as well. I pose a question to Kreighund. Was this discussed as well in the development phase of the game? Btw thanks for all your hard work that you’ve put in the game and for answering your questions. I can’t wait to get my copy at the store. :) Good gaming to all!

At the collect income phase of the turn America jumps up 40 IPCs and enters the war I like to play this song :-D
Very nice and appropriate. 8-)

RE: Air movement
Thank you Krieg for clarifying that for me. :-)

RE: Air movement
Thanks Krieghund. But if you were to land in the territory adjacent from the sea zone that you started from wouldn’t that be two movement? Or is that considered one movement? If it was just a carrier that you landed on in the adjacent sea zone that would be one movement.

RE: SBR's
I’m guessing that we’ll see a bit more of this in Europe I would imagine.

RE: Accurate Miniature Equivalents for Custom Painting your 1940 E&P
Very nice work I’m painting my pieces as well but they look not as nice as yours. :-( Are you doing the US pieces soon? I would love to see them. How much time have you put into painting this set so far? Its taking forever to paint mine.

RE: Getting extra pieces?
Has anyone posted a pic of the new battle strip that WOTC has been giving out?

RE: Air movement
If it was a carrier in adjacent sz i then yes that would one movement. But for island or coast line it would be two. At least that is the way it would be on a combat movement or non-combat movement. But it sounds like in defense they are immune to this only under this circumstance.

Air movement
I have a question on aircraft that is on defense. Lets say your in a sea zone that does not contain an island or coast line. And you have aircraft that are on a carrier that have taken off because they are being attacked. The defender decides to take a hit on the carrier. The attacker rolled very poorly on the first round of combat the defender got a couple of hits back. The attacker decides to retreat from their debacle. Now the carrier is damaged and the planes can not land on the carrier. Now in the rules it states that aircraft that are on defense are given one movement to land. Technically it would cost two movements in order to land. I’m not sure if this question has been asked before or not. The last i knew according to revised was that if there was an island or coast line in the neighboring sea zone that it was okay to land even thou it was two movement. Is it still the old way on landings or has it changed? Thanks for your help on this topic.

RE: Bob_A_Mickelson's Complete AAP40 Charts and Aids [1st Ed.]
I think I found one more mistake. The territory that has Shanghai i believe is supposed to have one fighter, tac. bomber, and strat. bomber. Correct me if I’m wrong I cant check I’ve already pasted the new cards over the cases. The new cards look great on the cases thanks :-D

RE: Operation Paintskrieg
