Thanks for the write up it was very nice to read someone Else’s experience on their first full game.  I played a half game already and enjoyed it very much.  Its like going to from light speed to ludicrous speed  :-D (without hitting the emergency brake and denting your helmet)  :lol:  Cant wait to play the full version this summer!

I was playing the game this afternoon with my son.  I noticed that their was a discrepancy in starting ipc’s for the UK.  The UK box that gives you the setup also gives you the starting ipc amount.  Which says 16 ipc’s.  I double checked the board and here is the list of territories.  India 3, Burma 1, Shan state 1, Malaya 3, Bornea 4, and Kwangtung 3.  The last I checked that adds upto 15 not 16.  Glad to know the chimps can add! :-o

I got the game Christmas morning 8-) The board is very nice compared to revised.  But I am disappointed in the fact the game isn’t connected also.  I’m not sure if I would use duct tape to keep it together.  I would have to agree about the money.  That is garbage that they didn’t make money.  I hope that trend doesn’t continue the next installment (It probably will)  :-(  But the addition of bases and self defense with it is a big improvement.  I’ve already started to paint the figures.

Now that I have had some time to see the game.  I would have to agree that the cardboard pieces is more neat and tidy for the board.  Especially for those areas that are high traffic areas for combat.  Do I miss the plastic IC’s and AA… sure I do.  But sometimes change is good also.

I know that this was addressed earlier in the posts of this thread.  But I love the fact that capital ships don’t get a free hit.  :-)

Thanks Wild Bill for those pic’s!  I would agree that Anzac is looking pretty weak :-(  Can’t wait to see this great game under my tree! :-D

I just looked up the date for VE day.  It was 5/8/1945.  But I’m gonna guess it will be released in August.
