Try R1 - 1BOM 4INF 1ARM?

Here you have a 2ARM 1BOM and a bunch of Infantry to take back a little from
Germany Round 2.  The Russian bomber(s) can come in handy later too.

That’s my usual build.

Especially when forced to play low luck, 1 bomber and 2 infantry do wonders to swap territories and you can operate on all fronts from Moscow.

Builder_Chris is right, you won’t be able to hold africa without US assistance. if you left all of your african forces down there, you could slow them down for a couple of rounds though

if the US is going for all out Pacific, i would still try to convince them to use whatever they have in western usa in the african theatre to help. also, i always build an IC in india if japan can’t take it feasibly turn j2. this leaves you the option of sending tanks to africa once Japan is booted off China

no. the aa gun may only move during non-combat. unless it is cargo on a transport (loaded prior turn). may only be unloaded during non combat…

I’ll post my complete setup in the House Rules section once I’m satisfied with it. I’m still testing it for now. As you said, it’s very similar to what you have done in the Pacific, but Europe is a bit different. The main difference is that I gave Germany control of East Poland and Baltic States, so the game starts a few months into Barbarossa (late summer or so), while the German still had momentum.

Enemy subs can be attacked or ignored at will by the acting player.  The only effects that a destroyer has are to suppress subs special abilities and to allow air units to hit them.

‘sub’ stall is not a term we’ll be using in this game.

The only way to force combat or make a fleet stay is to drop a surface vessel.  Most likely a DD.
