Also, from a penalty standpoint, there’s no reason for Russia not to declare war on Japan on R1. Declaring war doesn’t require them to make an actual attack, but it does open their territories up for friendly occupation, making it that much more obnoxious as a US bomber base.
well, if russia buys three art turn 1 and saves the rest and collects the same turn 2, that would be a turn two buy of 25+37= 62 to spend in 16 slots. which is either 9 tanks and 2 mech inf if Germany is going sea lion, or 14 art + 1 tank if Germany is going for russia. so your save idea seems to have some merit.
Its not a matter of quickly taking over america. If the US is 100% devoted to building units to defend against Japan, the Germans should finish off Russia.
And really, if japan can just place 1 more unit in alaska than the US can build, eventually…
