Novgorod taken with loss of 1 infIn a totally improbable defense effort, the Russians hold off a force of more than twice their size for this round and last round. This is the break exactly where they needed it since now I must expose two planes in hungary, and now northern Ukraine will be able to reach hungary. This is a major break for the allies, and it seems to me that you are consistently not getting just mild breaks but over the top improbable less than 1% odds type of breaks. Per the odds calculator this one had less than 1 in 150 chances, and so you will actually see the odds on my attack at 100% on some odds calculators.
Total losses for the Russians after being outnumbered more than 2 to 1, just 2 infantry. Losses for the allies, 7 infantry. The really amazing thing is is not only did you win (less than 1% chance) but you did so in such a way as to totally practically wipe out a force of twice their numbers.
So many unlikely events in this battle.

Remaining troops from n Italy and e Germany (except 2 aa guns and 1 inf) go to hungary to try to put together a crazy last minute defense against one of the most improbable failed attacks I’ve ever seen (an army of half the size virtually wiping out an attacking army of more than twice its size). Troops held in reserve to threaten to retake London are being hastily thrown into Hungary to prevent a follow up disaster.
The worst thing about when things go this badly for you, is having to scramble to deal with all the opportunities that open up for your opponent when this happens.
