    In some parts south of where I live, flooding is a real concern. Lumberton was flooded.

    Where I’m at, it’s mainly losing power and having to drink bottled water for a few days. We’re all stocked up.

    Germany is murdering the allies this game. Pathetic defense rolls for the Allies in Norway. That’s an 84 TUV swing (84 IPCs worth of unit value exchange)! Must be demoralizing for Churchill.

    No way the Axis can’t win this game. It will take me to round 11 - 15 to prove it (Victory City win).

    Once Moscow is taken out, any money spent in London…or messing with Norway is a waste of resources better used preparing for the defense of the Middle East (too late now) or Cairo.

    But it’s easy for me to say that considering Germany just murdered the Allies in Norway.

    I’ve only lost Tokyo one time…and it was an epic game that went to like round 26 against Cow. I was stuck at Trans/Jordan…and I was done playing the game…had like 36% odds to take Cairo, said screw it and went for it. Than conceded the game. He had like 40 US fighters guarding Cairo and 20+ UK fighters…ect…I had like a similar amount of planes. We both had a ton of ground.

    I don’t really ever go for SZ 6 as the Allies. Doesn’t seem to work out well for me.

    When you say, shocked you held out this long, are you referring to the Axis not winning the board game by round 8 or holding onto Norway? Nothing controversial there. It takes a long time for Germany to get to Cairo. And Norway is not Germany’s primary objective…

    You did a good job slowing down Japan…it seems like the US invested a lot in the Pacific. Japan never became a strong Axis country this game.

    If you remember…Philippines defended on J2…was like 87%~ for the attackers. That prevented my fleet from getting back to SZ 6. Than that permitted you to go for that part of the board, plus kill a transport…ect…more IPCs for the US. However, if the Philippines was taken on J2, and then I sent my stuff up to defend SZ 6, you might have been forced to do the traditional approach fighting for the Money Islands. It might have worked out better for you this game.

  • Fair point.  At the very least I needed to bring Japan’s income down more rather than just sinking transports.

    On UK’s turn I did some edits - mostly I forgot why I bought a tank instead of 2 inf (already max built in S. Africa) and then undid my edit.

    Also on the other side of the board, the computer thought I’d want to lose a fighter in Shan State instead of a tank, for some reason, so I had to undo that.
