Very simple - just go over to the League site and go to the thread for finding players - let people know you’re interested, wait for a nibble, and start playing!
Yes, you’ll be fine there. There will be surprises in playstyle - I got some shocks to my system playing against certain people - but it makes your game better to take some lumps against other good players.

I completely forgot to do the SZ110 battle - I got fixated on the Pacific - are you ok if I roll it on the site and edit? It was pretty important for me, and easy - I have a destroyer and five fighters in the area, and just utterly forgot to look back at that side of the map before rolling dice.
