I gave it serious consideration - but, I did that in another game recently and found that it really cripples you againt Russia….but - that was a bit harder nut to crack too - since you were down all your aircraft…probably should have done it…but oh well

Yeah, I was preparing for it as Russia, that’s for sure. When G1 goes that bad for the Allies, the Soviets have to puff out their chest and make the Germans think twice about: spending 70 IPC on naval that can’t be used against the USSR, losing a load of planes that can’t be used against the USSR, and having only 1 land build (G3) where the Soviets would get 3.
If you don’t show the Germans on R1 that you’re ready for business on R3, you’re rolling out the welcome mat on London.
That’s why I didn’t sweat the horrid dice on G1 too much – I was still going to make it an uncomfortable decision for you either way and I’d live with the results.
