    Thanks  :-)

    Some people think it has something to do with undoing moves, though I don’t know under exactly what circumstances.  I often undo moves while planning out turns, but only very rarely encounter game errors.

    I forgot my 2 submarines in SZ106 before I clicked done for NCM, so I moved them with EDIT during placement.

    Make sure you notice the one in SZ89 because the program really hid it in a corner of the SZ  :lol:

    Also, I just tested with a local game, and it seems tripleA doesn’t permit submarines to NCM into a SZ with a hostile destroyer (as I just did to SZ101 via EDIT).

    It believe it is legal to NCM a sub into a SZ with a hostile destroyer according the game rules, but I’ll look in the FAQ for an official ruling to be sure.

    as far as I can remember, it has never been legal because it would result in combat since the DD prevents the sub from submerging. Any other unit would be ok.

    I know for sure it’s illegal because the destroyers presence makes it a combat move only.

    On page 28 (OOB rules) it says:

    “A destroyer cancels the Treat Hostile Sea Zones as Friendly unit characteristic of any submarine that moves into the sea zone with it.  This means that the submarine must immediately end its movement, whether combat or noncombat, upon entering the sea zone.”

    This hasn’t come up in one of my games for awhile since there’s rarely an incentive to do it.  The bold section strongly implies the sub can do it though.

    It certainly looks that way. I assumed they would take the rule from AA50. It’s always been that way, but, maybe you’re right and they have changed it.

    Take as long as you need. I’d rather get clarification on that rule now when it’s a just minor inconvenience rather than find out in a situation where it’s going to really hurt me in another game.
