I forgot to leave a US destroyer in SZ109, and meant to. If you’re not ok with it, add it to SZ92 pile.
Totally screwed up and didn’t leave a US destroyer in the Med. I never saw it in the first place, so it wasn’t me forgetting.

Amazing this is the first game we’ve played all the way through to a VC conclusion. It is an eye opener that I can be up in IPCs 190 - 120, and be quite in control of the game, and still lose. Live and learn.
Should we think about creating a new victory condition - a sustained (and sustainable) economic victory? Because if this were the real world, I don’t think the fall of Stalingrad would force everyone else to throw in the towel.
-
Not sure. I don’t think we know the game well enough yet to come up with an economic victory amount… We’ll have to think on it, or play with the concept of victory cities in some way. Total victory is an option, but with this weakened Japan, the Allies would just eliminate them first and then concentrate on Europe every game. I think the same would be true of an economic victory. Get all that Pacific Money then fight europe. I don’t think we want to go that route. The axis only chance would become sea lion or another risky endeavor. I don’t know for sure. Your Japan in other game is holding out better, so maybe it’s not as bad is it seems in this and the ftf.

I’ll just surrender in this one. No sense prolonging it. Nice work pulling it off, amigo.
But, I’m just sayin… 190 IPCs to 120… :-D
A great lesson learned for both of us. Don’t play total war - this is a VC game.
We’ll let this one fade into the background. I don’t know our current head to head count, but we’re pretty competitive.
-
Its actually 130ipcs for me.
I am willing to keep playing if you want to see how it plays out for any future rule change we want to make about Victory Conditions…
-
Consider also that I can ignore china and its 39ipcs until I have reclaimed Japan and taken over the pacific and the americas…
-
Are you actually posturing after I just declared you the victor?
Really?
It’s called dignity in victory.
