Regarding the Chinese territories controlled by Japan at the start of the game, I place Japan control markers on those territories when I set the board up. It’s a big help for me when one of those is liberated and the Japan marker removed as, later on, I quickly know who controls it at a glance. If Japan re-captures it, I place the marker back.
UK combined forces question

Lets say that Calcutta has 10 tanks and London 10 more in Africa and they are both in the Europe map and they have combined their forces, do they attack together on turn London for instance or do they attack half and half? Thank you in advance

all UK forces move and fight as one nation. the only sense that India/England are separate is for the purposes of building and collecting.
