Freak situation pt2

Japan takes Fukien from the Chinese and for whatever reasons builds an IC on it. Later, China retakes the territory. What happens to the IC? Can the Chinese use it? Does it get destroyed? Or is it just unusable?

I believe this question has already been answered by K.  China can’t produce any units from the factory (in addition to their one infantry per two territories), nor can it be destroyed - it just exists.

Yeah, I don’t see how the rules are ambiguous here. ICs can’t be destroyed, and China doesn’t collect income and so can never use the IC.

Seems pretty clear that the IC would remain in the territory but would be unusable to China.

Great topic!  I ran into this situation just the other day, and was clueless how to resolve it (I ended up just leaving it unused by the Chinese).

I’m a newbie here, but an A&A old-schooler from 1985.  I’ll try not to bump old threads or ask any “asked and answered a month ago” questions during my newbie status.  I discovered these forums on Monday and have been reading, but there’s still a lot for me to get through.
