      I didn’t beg you :-o. I said I wanted to do more testing and then you volunteered yourself. Why would I beg?
      And I already apologized, man. You cannot expect some1 to play beyond what is healthy for him/her.
      I certainly didn’t take the decision to stop lightly, if that means anything to you.

      Put everything together, have we not played a total 17 turns? Have I not said on beforehand that I can play A&A too much in a short time?
      I have not played via TripleA a lot and therefore I am still learning my limits. I know now I should not play more than 1 online game in a row. And most likely also not more than once per several months.

      I understand that you must be disappointed, so I’ll leave it at this.
      My offer still stands. I need a break and after that, we can either continue this game or start a new one, but I won’t compromise my own health because of a game. If you don’t like it, fine then we won’t play again. No big deal.

      Thanks, ColonelCarter!

      Those comments make a lot of sense to me.

      I can’t remember exactly why I didn’t attack that German fleet that was left without aircover, but I do remember I looked at the possibility. Probably was scared about the axis combination: IT3 take Egypt->GE4 has a NB and can reach Gibraltar from there. Any FTR that attacked that little fleet would be unable to defend Gibraltar. I must admit though, loosing Gibraltar to GE4 would have been perfectly acceptable in this situation (I could have left it completely empty). My bad ;-). Glad I can comfort myself this was not a very crucial mistake of some sorts :-D. Same for the Rhodesian INF.

      I guess it all boils down to: put more pressure onto the Japanese First (a lot of people give this advice). And by the way I LOVE your tips about how to do so in the Pac. That will alter the way the Japanese can execute their plans. It’s so easy to forget USN is not ‘glued to their coast’ and Queensland is a valid staging point even when not at war.

      The only thing I don’t like is that this will (again!) force the allies into a Pacific Focus. I suspect this must be some ‘revenge’ of the developers for all those years (in the 1st edition) the allies were able to execute their historic plans of ‘Europe First’  :|.

      @Cow:

      Tell you what if 5 inf central, 1 armor egypt, 1 sub sz 98, 1 inf new guinea, 1 bomber archangel is not to your liking…

      Then you can have allies at 18 ipc 1 unit per territory.

      So you can choose either one of the above two conditions  8-). By ‘central’ Cow means Central USA.

      @Cow:
      Looks like you’ve got enough challenges now ;-).

      @Cow:

      Get the African NOs for Russia as well. African NOs are very important for Russia.

      Agreed wholeheartedly!
      I must admit though, I’m still a little in doubt about when to take them and when not to.

      For example, if Germany is doing SeaLion it seems better not to (correct me if I’m wrong)? If Russia goes there (early) in this situation, it has just too few units to start contesting Eastern Europe and/or Scandinavia RU3 (assuming GE did sortie into London). Contesting those area’s with Germany seems better than getting into Africa, since the Russian profit is the same or even higher but it also denies Germany valuable IPCs. Maybe in this case get the African NO’s at a later point?

      In all the other situations I’d go for African NO’s (except perhaps a G1 DOW?).

      @knp7765:

      As Russia, you should definitely grab Norway. With the large US fleet there and London getting liberated, it’s very doubtful Germany will be putting any more boats in the water (…)

      I agree completely. I want Norway out of the way first round after London is liberated, just to rid Germany of another 8 IPCs. If the Germans position themselves in Finland however, USA will take Norway instead. Otherwise Germany can enjoy those 8IPCs one more turn.

      @knp7765:

      (…)Do you plan to liberate Paris if US troops successfully land in Normandy or Holland? (…)

      I usually wait to liberate Paris for the exact same reasons as you mentioned. It is a matter of being able to hold it or not. Trading it back and forth with Germany is often unacceptable (but not always), especially if the USA has to spend a lot in the Pacific (sometimes I am forced to invest near 100% in the Pacific with the USA from US7 and onwards because the Japs have taken Calcutta and are investing near 100% on also getting Hawai). For that reason I keep my men and TRS next to each other in Gibraltar, London, Normandy or wherever they are safe while being the most aggressive.

      In this particular situation however, it remains to be seen. If taking Paris means the fall of Berlin in a series of falling dominoes then taking Paris it is!

      Thanks Imperious.

      I ll wait a bit till I know more of the problem myself. Right now I seem to be able to log in if I click the ‘Login’ button instead of hitting [Enter].

      I am able to log in after some 3 to 4 attempts anyway when/if this problem occurs.

      What Chocolate and ghr2 said.

      I could elaborate on this but let’s just give the example of one of the games I played:
      UK marched towards India with around 60 units@120 combat factors. Not 100% sure about the number of units but the combat factors I remember… The UK pulled out before Japan could attack India (round 6) and merged that army with the incoming troops from the Middle East. Then liberated Calcutta round 9.

      Chasing the retreating troops can be difficult if the RAF is in Range of west-India…
