    • Alpha+3 question

just played euro 40 alpha+3 and the game was great. just set up for pac 40 alpha +3 and looking at the new n.o’s it seems america can not hope to match the japanees in IPC’s. My question is has anyone played the pac40 as a stand alone game with the new rules and how did the games turn out. Thanks and I have to apologize for this being on the wrong thead.

    • Question about alpha +3 N.O's on pac 40 stand alone.

just played europe 40 with alpha +3 N.O’s and the game was great. Just set up Pac 40 alpha+3 and with the new N.O’s it looks like America will not be able to keep up with the Japanees in IPC’s. Has anyone played pac40 as a stand alone game with alpha+3 rules yet and was the game competetive.

    • Friendly transports acting as bridges?

I’m not at my board so bare with me please. Ex. America has transports off the coast of normandy, can british troops load and unload on the same turn using the us’s transports as bridges or does it take 2 turns.

    • RE: Science Fiction/Fantasy Book Forum

dteven erikson steven erikson steven erikson, I have read probably two thousand fantasy books from robert jordon to david eddings to j.r.r tolken. ?one of these authors come close to to steven eriksons the book of the fallen malazan series. It is an entire world with religions politics and death. If you don’t believe me read the reviews on the cover pages it’s filled with aurthors that I have grown up reading basically saiing the these books are the greatest fantasy novels ever put together, yes even better than their own. Read them that’s all I can say they are fantasy at it’s best.

      CIA

They operate with funds they make THEMSELVES, not off the Tax Payer.

      They actually Kill people.

      They coup d’etat enemy governments

They fought communism the hard way.

The only time i build a G fleet is in the med to assist the italians in holding the garbralter strait. 2 cruisers and a tranny go along way against cairo.

      @Detuite:

When Mr Rooney says were gonna win i take his word for it. And no single pearson deserves it more than him.

Deserve a Super Bowl? The Rooney family will run out of fingers for all the rings they own.

If if team deserves a chance to play in the big game it’s the Detroit and Kansas City.

I wish the Houston Texans would buy the Oilers rights back, I miss the Oilers.

believe me if it wasn’t for the way the steelers are ran from the top all the way to the towel boys then there wouldn’t be six. If detroit and kc and the rest want one so bad all they got to do is get one. The salary cap is in place so 1 team can’t dominate others. The steelers scouts do a wonderful jobevery year to keep us as contenders… Like willy parker, longest run in superbowl history and never had a snap in college. When they say pittsburgh is a football city they aint liing 350,000 people showed up down town for the parade last time they won the superbowl in the freezing rain sleet, there were people there from everywhere.

But in all honesty when it comes to it the steelers fans, orgazation and team despise loosing. Hell we booed terry bradshaw off the field after his 4th superbowl. There was a pep rally at hienz field the otherday 12 degrees and 25,000 people still showed up. When Mr Rooney says were gonna win i take his word for it. And no single pearson deserves it more than him. The steelers know how to make the big play when they need it, not saiing greenbay cant win but they better play thier asses off, since the steelers basicaly made it here with a second team O line and D line.

    • RE: Neutral Blocks

Ive been watching the build up of Alpha+2 since the day it started, and i have to say us as a whole playtesting and giving advice made these games 100 times better. I’m just saying that i believe these games are now as close to perfect as their gonna get and if we keep pushing for a more historical feel were going to start going backwards instead of forward. The first time I played Pacific i was completely disapointed, We had a game of Pacific Alpha+1 last night and the word disapointment never crossed my mind. All im saying is im happy when the Axis wins even if im the allies because it’s a game and should be 50 50 or 60 40 if you like a challenge but no more than that. And once again i have to say i love these forums.

Guys I understand but the game can’t be 100% historical, sometimes you need the to put the game before history. I think the game is as close to being historicaly correct as it needs to be, thats larry and crew’s job. Ours is to enjoy it.

Hey Sarge. This is a one time investment, if you miss on your first turn then you can still rule every following turn until you get your hit. I like the 1 on a 1d6 because multable countries can all try for the same country. In our last game both US and Germany paid for Spain, Germany succeeded and claimed spain and america lost it IPC’s it had invested into it. My group uses it’s own set of tech’s and one of them is diplomacy Lv1 through Lv3 Each lv adds a +1 to your chance of success.
      5) Diplomacy
Lv 1- Local Aid- 7 IPC’s -Gain a +1 on your diplomatic rolls.
Lv 2- Silver Tounge- 10 IPC’s -Gain a +1 on your diplomatic rolls.
Lv 3- Golden Tounge- 13 ICP’s -Gain a +1 on your diplomatic rolls.

    • RE: Neutral Blocks

Hey guys loving this thread this is what my group has been using for the last month      ( This is not for historical purpaces only for extra options during game play ). These rules come out of our houserule book.

      24. Strict Neutral Convertion- You can try to have a strict neutral sway your way by rolling a 6 on a 1D6 and a cost of 5 IPC’s per IPC that country generates. This happens after the purchase unit phase and before the conduct combat phase. Tell all players which country(s) you wish to try to sway to your side, you have to have at least 1 infantry unit capable of landing in said country(s) on the combat movement phase on the same turn as a negotiator, this unit only moves into the country if you are successful in swaying it to your side. If successful claim the countries infantry and IPC output.

      25. Attacking a Strict Neutral- If you attack a strict neutral all remaining strict neutrals in that block become Pro(your enemy)
