RE: Anniversary National Objective Cards
@SS-GEN thank you for your response.
These cards show the national objectives which come with the game - they are not house rules rather they are player aids to make these objectives easier to follow.
As for the printing, I’m sure there’s an easy way to set it up when creating the pdf. I just don’t know how to allign them.
Anniversary National Objective Cards
I have made some national objective cards for Anniversary Edition which I would like to share.
Consider these a draft version. I am keen to get some feedback so I can finalise them. Criticism welcome.
Also, I am having difficulty getting the front and back sides to line up properly when printing double sided. I would love to have a version which prints perfectly on both sides so that myself and others can print these without hassle. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
RE: Winter Battle of Britain - 27th January 2019 - See Battle Report
Thanks for posting PP. Love reading about other people’s games. Your summary was fantastic.
Sounds like it was a good match with some good ideas and awesome moments. Well done to the Allies. Good game!
RE: Factory Capture House Rules Ideas?
Another rule is Captured ICs by the enemy can only build half there capacity. If IC is recaptured by a original owner or an Allie, you still can only build half capacity.
Thanks for your reply.
So in other words, a captured factory is forever limited to 1/2 production, even after recapture? Think this makes sense for the enemy who would be unlikely to match production capacity in enemy lands, but perhaps not for a player who manages to reclaim their original factory.
Still, nice suggestion. Thanks!
Factory Capture House Rules Ideas?
In most of the OOB rules I’ve seen for various versions, captured factories can be used by the new owner in their next turn.
I’m not a fan of this personally. Sure, the industrial infrastructure would be there but it would still take time to repurpose the factory and establish resource networks etc etc.
Just wondering if anyone else feels the same or has any counter arguments or suggestions.
My draft idea would be to have factories ‘destroyed’ on capture. Indicate this by turning captured factories onto their side.
The new owner can invest in a new IC on their next turn for a reduced price of 10 IPCs, should they wish to. They will not be able to use the factory until they do so. In the same way as the standard rules for factory placement, you cannot use a factory the same turn you place it including restoring a captured factory.
If you manage to recapture one of your own factories which is still destroyed, you can restore it for 5 IPCs during purchase units and use it the same turn.
If you manage to recapture one of your original factories which the enemy has restored, it is once again destroyed and 10 IPCs must be spent to restore it.
I plan to customise my factory pieces to make original ownership easy to track, but placing a roundel under a destroyed factory will do for now.
Any thoughts? Please post!
RE: USSR and UK/USA sharing/liberating territories
@CorporalClegg Hi Clegg
yea very few instances of allies and russia fighting together. Heard of some air units, but that’s all I can really remember. Cwo marc probably would know more.
Anyway, using the Global game, I like Black Elk’s " Sphere of Influence" house rule. Gives a minus 10 bucks if Russia has any allied units in russian controlled TTys and vice versa. Same for Germany/Italy and Japan.
Have to use it with some Russian boost rules too, but it gives a more historical game play pattern without eliminating the possibility of “what if”
Cheers Barnee I’ll check out Black Elk’s house rules and see what I think. I was hoping to avoid an IPC reduction for Russia but maybe that is simply the best way to go. I definitely want to allow for “what if” possibilities so perhaps banning movement of units through eachother’s territories isn’t ideal. Thanks for your contribution
