I generally favor a G2 attack as there are very little Russian units on the board, the more rounds you wait to attack the more infantry they can stack in Moscow, Ideally on a G2 attack you can be attacking Moscow or on the brink of attacking when the allies threaten to land. The longer you wait to attack the longer you will have to fight a 2 front war.
2 free units in Novosibirsk

Question: If Moscow is still in Soviet hands and able to produce units but Axis took over Novosibirsk, are you still able to to place the 2 free units there during the mobilize units phase? If so, how would combat happen? I’m assuming during Germany’s conduct combat phase? Thank you!

You don’t get the units unless you control Novosibirsk in the Mobilize New Units phase of your turn.
