I agree this should be addressed. On the custom map we use all islands are worth at least 1 IPC, which helps somewhat, but like you said, it’s only financial.

I like the supply concept you have. Instead of tampering with all the unit stats, perhaps you could say that no surface attacks can be launched unless a friendly land zone is located in an adjacent sea zone. (double that distance with a naval base)

I am trying the rules I posted above and it appears to be balanced. One change I want to make is that you SHOULD place the standard units in southern France to prevent Germany from taking all of France G1

I wonder what the difference is in :
Battles fought in Winter / Casualties    - VS -    Battles fought in Summer / Casualties

Questions always come up about Mongolia in Global and the technicalities involved (who attacks/moves where, etc). To make life easier, I propose making Mongolian TTs pro-Russian neutrals that can be activated by Russia one TT at a time in the NCM phase. This will be considered an act of war against Japan.

Japan in turn can invade any Mongolian TT if it pleases, constituting an act of war against Russia. The remaining Mongolian TTs will stay pro-Russian neutral and not immediately activate.

I find the current rules overly complicated and not necessarily historical: Mongolia was a client state of the USSR and could easily be persuaded to join the war effort against Japan, and did so in 1945.

Just wondering what others think, of the RIGHT to scuttle/scorch your own Air/Naval/Ind facilities.

Thinking for example it’s handy for the Axis to go to Gibraltar and smash the facilities there as SOON as humanly possibly, to make it a longer go for the united states.

That or Russia if retreating destroying complexs to prevent German control.  Any comments or concerns?  And at what phase of any given turn should this be an option?

Certainly has applications in the pacific for both sides aswell…

_I love this idea , it is very accurate historic wise and also adds a lot of new tactics and limitations to the game , I endorse the upgrading idea mentioned by the guy who posted before me and would like to hear his stats and such  8-)but I battle tested this rule yesterday  and it worked great, I will be using this rule from now on for sure _

It only takes a few days to build airfield so why pay extra cost for that?
There was already airbase everywhere in the pacific (Except Guadacanal and New Guinea island)
so it’s useless.

ok 1 artillery is less then 1 tank and 1 inf. i think 1 artillery and 1inf. no armour/tanks are allowed in transport planes
