Oops, I knew I forgot something. I’ll upload it next. Yes, these are Alpha + .2, I got all the info off of Larry Harris’ site.
I improved my setup cards, left out any superfluous info. Enjoy! :-D
Yes, of course. Feel free to load them up FieldMarshal and if there are any improvements or corrections, let me know and I’ll fix em up quick. Glad you guys like em. :-D
Yes, they start with 37 IPCs in the Global 1940 version and 28 IPCs in the Europe 1940 version.
I made these Alpha 2 Setup cards for the community to enjoy. It is a high-quality PDF. :-D enjoy!
I love, love, love how Rommel looks.
Just two suggestions:
Maybe make a version with him wearing a belt and goggles on his cap.
And his boots need to look higher and sleeker like a general or officer. They look like enlisted men boots.
I recommend looking into Adobe Indesign It is great for making charts. Download a free trial version and test it out. I guarantee it will become your favorite app. I use it for almost all my design work.
I just made a high quality PDF with plenty of roundels for Italy. I posted it on BoardGameGeek.com and it should be up shortly. Hope that solves your problem.
One last thing, making the files PDFs will make them much sharper. Vectorized files are better than rasterized ones when it comes to type.
I have a suggestion for the charts legibility.
Increase the tracking all around to make it easier to read.
For the white letters; add a black Drop shadow with this setting:
Opacity: 100%
Distance: 0.0075 in
Size: 0
Play around with the setting of the drop shadow but I think this way you don’t have to increase the font size and it will separate it from the background more and add some weight to the letters.
Try it out I think it might work.
I’m a graphic designer and have a lot of experience with Adobe software.
If you need any help I’ll be more than willing to dedicate my time and knowledge to making your charts look incredible, I mean, more incredible they look great. :-D
I really like that concept :-D
Much more complex and thought out than mine. :-o
Do you have a link to your rules? And what kind of tokens do you use, is there a printable version?
I don’t know if this is a House rule but I’ve been mulling over something for a while. I thought it would be neat to include the Waffen SS somehow into AAE40 and AA42.
I’ve had two concepts in mind. Most important of all is differentiating the units from each other. For this I got a regular Wehrmacht soldier and painted his base white and put the SS insignia on the base.
1st concept.
Have the SS unit cost as much as an artillery and have the same affect, upgrade an infantry to 2 or less during attack and attack at 2 or less. When in battle Wehrmacht soldiers were inspired by the tenacity of the SS and how hard they fought. I thought that being pretty much an artillery would represent this.
2nd concept.
Have them act and cost like a tank. My idea behind this was that the SS were like the kamikaze of the Third Reich. They were totally dedicated to the party and would fight extremely hard to preserve the Reich. Also SS instilled fear into the forces they faced and had the best weapons, by having them act as a tank, 2/3/3, they could demonstrate that.
It’s Spanish and you don’t have to be either to spell a country right. Just check your map.
You mean Colombia, right?
