@nikola1975 The bumps are in the League rules. And yes, they are formal warnings. When you mentioned that you couldn’t play until Saturday that time, that was fine. But when you don’t respond for 3 days, that’s a bump.

5 - Posting Schedule

The following is for the benefit of waiting players to be able to claim a win on an abandoned game and do not have to be exercised.
5a - Time Limits - There is a 72 hour time limit per move (3 full days). This may be negotiated by the players at game start. If you agree to different time limits, you need to post it at the beginning of the game thread for the moderators to enforce. Of course, longer limits may always be allowed by a player to his opponent during the game - post these in the thread in case there is a dispute, for the moderators.

For good sportsmanship, you should give defender decisions (casualty choices, scramble/intercept/submerge/ kamikaze decisions) to your opponent as soon as possible.

5b - 72 hour warnings: If 72 hours goes by and there is no game-play post from your opponent (i.e. at least a game decision made), simply post “bump” and the number of the bump (Bump#1, Bump #2, or Bump #3), which creates the “warning”. (Note: only post “bump” in your warnings to make it clear you are issuing a warning. Do not add any other text in your warning post.)

5c - “Bump” warning and consequences - Each “bump” warning resets the clock for another 72 hrs. However, on the 4th “bump” warning the offending player will be disqualified and declared the loser for that game. You cannot retroactively issue a “bump” warning (after your opponent posts). “Bump” warnings can be issued for posting of partial turns (for example, someone only posted their combat move), OOL requests, etc. but they follow the same 72 hour requirement.

thanks for heads up. no problem. not really wanting concession because your busy and playing slower. etc. if you want to concede for other reasons ok. we can get together in a few weeks and start another if interested.

@the-janus Interesting. I’m an amateur developer and many of these changes would be relatively easy for me to code – turning off capitals is not hard, permanently awarding Chinese territories to the British is not hard, and even the diplomacy is probably doable. The nukes are probably weird and rare enough that it makes sense to just do them manually for now. I could add a ‘dummy’ nuke unit on the map that you can move around and so on, and then when you’re ready to fire it, we would just roll a die and use edit mode to resolve the effects.

If you want to send me whatever files you have and if you’d be willing to play a couple of games once the module is ready, I’ll see what I can make happen. No promises, but I think I would probably be able to hack something playable together in a month or so.

If you’re interested, send me a list of your top 10-ish highest priority changes from the Classic map/ruleset. I need a medium amount of detail, I think – like I’m not sure why China goes British, specifically, and not American. If there’s a short rulebook (<= 30 pages) that spells all this out, then send me a link and I’ll read it; otherwise I need you to tell me.
