If you call having someone who cleaned the house, made homade snacks, made sure that everyones drink is full, while you have five buddies over to play so that you can focus on taking down Moscow, terror then you would be right.

And my wife doesn’t read this.  She isnt interested in the odds of 3 transports taking down a Battleship.  She is mostly interested in making sure I’m happy.

I wouldn’t live a life of terror, I would get out of that situation.  Do what you like, like what you do.

Mine was a lotr mini’s game by Games Workshop. The company that made warhammer.  I was also into battletech when I was in High School.

Yeah. the only way to be more nerdy with minitures is to play warhammer and paint the pieces with intricate detail.

I’m telling you, this game just dosen’t have much cool factor with the ladies :|. Suring on the other hand… 8-)

To clarify about my wife, she is usually busy making sure everything is just right when guys come over to play.  Food, Tea, a clean home.  Yeah she takes care of it.  She just doesn’t have time to play.

Allied going after Japan requires a very knowledgeable Allied opponent.

This can happen:
1. by chance (Japan gets horrible dice)
2. by design, but it takes careful planning.

It is very effective though if you plan it right.

However, I’m not one to let Germany get big.

your right but the same holds true for the allies.  Even more so with them.  If you do not coordanate well, it goes downhill fast for them.

I like Japan best in part because I’m an old navy guy and in part because I used to live in Japan.  Besides Japan is the key to an Axis win.

I would have to concur.  The allies simply cannot compete with Japans navy in the first round of the game.  So instead of throwing expesive ships away to make new reefs (this does not help win the war), keep the initiative in Europe and force Germany to do what you want her to do.

on a compleatly diffrent note I just got back from a Civil War reenactment.  It was the battle of Olustee, near Lake City FL.  A CSA victory tho the battle had no effect on the war as a whole.  It was pretty cool.

perhaps this isnt the greatest strat but, all always by inf with russia and not much else.

I knew a guy who did sick damage to my fleets all the time with subs.  Even more so in classic when he could shoot at planes.

Battleships also have a nice psyc value that may get you opponent to make a mistake like getting caught up in a naval build up.

I think the fighters can fly by the sub without fighting as well since they can fly over other units without fighting as well.
