      http://www.axisandallies.org/resources-downloads/setup-chart-for-axis-allies-pacific-1940-second-edition/

      I haven’t seen any traffic on this (but I probably missed it) but there are a few errors in the above links.  I discovered this while setting up our first Global game in a long time.

      The following items are not included in the typed out list, but do appear on the box tops:

      For the Japanese:
      JAPAN - 2 Strategic Bombers, Air Base, Naval Base, Major Industrial Complex
      MANCHURIA - 2 Tactical Bombers

      For the Chinese:
      KWEICHOW - 2 Infantry

      That is all.  Carry on.

      Oh Powerful Imperious Leader,

      Have you made any progress on your rumored AAG40 map or has the project, like many of my own, stalled out?

      @Viracocha: thanks!  Glad you like 'em.

      @axis_roll: Nope, sorry.  I only made the cards for the scenario that we tend to play.  ('Course now I need to wait for the Global 1940 startup to be finalized…and I’ll do those next)

      @calvinhobbesliker:

      It’s the rule that neutral countries can’t enter the territory of any other country

      Hmmm…I’m not seeing that in the rulebook.  Got a page number where that shows up?

    • RE: Several Questions/Clarifications

      @kcdzim:

      And the US cannot enter Canadian territories as long as it’s neutral.  The US navy is allowed to park off the Canadian coast though in those seazones.

      Really?  Can we get a ruling on this?  I don’t see anything in the rulebook about not going into British territory outside of Europe while neutral.

      The Rulebook states:

      Political Situation: The United States begins the game at war with no one. In addition to the normal restrictions, while
      it’s not at war with Japan, the United States may not move any units into China. While not at war with Germany or
      Italy, the United States may not move sea units into sea zones that are adjacent to territories in either Africa or Europe
      (including United Kingdom and Scotland). If the United States has war declared on it by an Axis power or Japan
      makes an unprovoked declaration of war on the UK or ANZAC, the United States may declare war on any or all Axis
      powers. On turn 3, if it’s not yet at war, the United States may declare war on any or all Axis powers at the beginning
      of the Collect Income phase of that turn.

      I hope to have the setup cards done next week.  Also I noticed last night that I used the modern Italian roundel scheme instead of the desired A&A version.  (my red and green are swapped)  I will correct that and repost the links.

      IL,

      Sorry to hear that .RAR treats you so badly.  I’ve gone back and resubmitted in a .ZIP format.  I’ve also posted the option to download in .PNG.  Should work great now.

      @TexCapPrezJimmy,

      Sometimes my luck is less than stellar…LOL

    • Boxcars' 3650 Plano Box AAG40 Labels

      My group prefers (okay I prefer) to have our units not all lumped into one box that you have to dig through to get what you need.  For AA50 we used a Plano 3500 box to organize the units.  Now with a few more units (type and quantity), I upped the boxes to the slightly larger 3650.

      I’ve created labels that, when printed on normal 8.5 x 11 paper and then folded in half, get taped into the lid of the Plano box.  The unit data faces the player when the lid is open.  This cuts down on the “how much does this cost?” type of questions.

      or

      I hope that someone else finds these as useful as I do.

    • Boxcars' AA50 Setup Cards (1st Edition Style) & Battle Board

      Since I’ve cut my A&A teeth back in '84 with 1st edition, it holds a certain sentimental value to me.  Every other version I’ve purchased since, I’ve felt that they have “gone cheap” on the included materials.  Anything cardboard is no longer thicker than a cereal box.  And the graphics on the new stuff?!  They tried too hard in my opinion.

      Since my group plays AA50 now (or at least we did until we purchased AAE40 & AAP40), I created a set of Setup Cards that capture that 1st edition feel.  I cut them out (10.5" x 3.75") and mount them on foam board.  Works very well.

      (This preview .png kinda cuts off the borders of the card…looks better in .pdf format.)

      I’m now ready to share this with the A&A.org community.  I hope you guys like them.

      I’ve also reverse-engineered the Battle Board for those new players among us.

      @calvinhobbesliker:

      Do you know their dimensions?

      10.5" x 3.75"

      For this set I will mount them on foam board and then create National Objective and other country specific information and mount that on the back.

      Once I complete the set, plan on releasing to the community.

      I think you put the wrong link. I got the ANZAC roundel again instead of a zip file

      Edited with correct link.  For some reason Mediafire was reported the same link for both files.  Fixed now.

      Okay, here we go:

      All of the countries (minus ANZAC, see above post) are contained in this zip:

      The Japan pdf doesn’t quite want to play nice with others…so perhaps this .png will work for those who want/need it.

    • RE: Anzac roundel?

      @calvinhobbesliker:

      Nice. Are they about the same size as the setup boxes that come with the game?

      Actually these are the same size as the original A&A game from the 80’s.  (Still have my original set that I got for xmas in '84)

      Since we use plano boxes, I didn’t worry about keeping them the size of the 1940 setup boxes.

    • RE: Anzac roundel?

      I would suggest using your printer options to make them smaller.  That’s probably not much help…but don’t know what else to tell you.

      If you had Illustrator you could re-open the PDF and tweak away.

      And as a teaser, here is a small view of the Setup cards.  (I made a full set of retro-1st edition-style for Anniversary…now re-doing them for AAG40)

      @keesterdog:

      Does anybody know where I can download a high res ANZAC roundel ?  I want to print large stickers for the plastic cases I bought to store and organize the peices.  I was very disapointed that the boxes included did not have dividers and that US and France share the same box.

      I too wanted one for our in-house setup cards and IPC board…Google wasn’t much help.  So I’ve pulled one together using Illustrator.

      http://www.mediafire.com/file/1cn8n6pj5ou4nfi/ANZAC%20logo%20final.pdf

      I hope it’s what you need!  I also have all the other countries done as well.

      Enjoy,

      -Boxcars

      P.S.  BTW, “Australian Commonwealth Military Forces” works great for the Google search for this.
