UK: taranto?
US: KJF or KGF?

@surfer we play tabletop OOb without bid.
Yes I do know the two links you´ve send me.
Stacking Yunan is not possible bc they only declare war on J3 or J4 even. Protecting egypt with UK demands all UK resources so when they switch and built 7 tpt they can do a sea lion on G4 even (has happened a few times).
Good idea of the R1 stacking of yunan but russia can only get 1 tac and 1 fighter on R1 there so japan can still take it.
What do you suggest as a counter against a G1 buy of 1 sub, 1DD and 1 Carrier. Germany takes paris and yugo and destroyes the UK fleets in 110, Schotland and canada.
Russia is attacked on G3 onwards. JDOW on J3.
Italy on I1 takes gibraltar and goes to alexandria (reinf by luftwaffe on G2). German fleet goes into Med and from there on they help Italy secure 2 to 3 bonusses (no ships, 3 of the 4 territories and morroco to alexandria) so italy is in its 20s or 30s in IPC
Combinend with strong luftwaffe présence its a huge struggle for allies to gain a foothold in gibraltar.
In mean time Japan wipes out China and on J3 or even J4 they start expanding.
My question is what woulld you do as allied US and UK player?
@Gargantua interesting strategy. What do you attack with your mobile force? Do you hit the main stack moving forward to moscow or do you wait from the flanks to attack his rear?
I think the succes of your strategy depends on how you use this mobile force, hence my question.
@SuperbattleshipYamato @Galendae @FranceNeedsMorePower
Here is an idea for a German Strategy
@Galendae wouldn´t gibastian be a good UK reaction to it? Converge there with the destroyer from egypt gives you a strong fleet with a destroyer to counter the subs.
@FranceNeedsMorePower yes that is something that i would very much like, a french transport. Around West Africa for exemple.
@SuperbattleshipYamato france has almost no offensive power and no naval projection. But for anzac to have offensive power they should transport the arti to europe which means they can only reach gibraltar on Turn which is too late to make a difference.
My conclusion is that it might be a fun game to do that but not the most efficient use. Same with giving persia to anzac which might be even better than the Brasil move.
@FranceNeedsMorePower hm it depends on where the US is focusing. If US goes into europe then i would go Pacific with anzac and leave Brasil for the US. If US goes for japan then this can help putting some nuissance in europe.
But i think giving Persia to anzac is more efficient then. Gargantua has a youtube video called the Anzac Express.
@FranceNeedsMorePower i´ve done it with anzac. Turn 1 with transport pick up the guy from NZ and move east. Turn 2 take brazil. Turn 3 go with two inf to gibraltar or marocco and buy a minor IC to churn out some subs or ground units. Send in destroyer and cruiser for protection.
This allows for an allied player that comes in between italy and germany. Not a game changer but can be anoying and it´s a cool game.
@Argothair you don´t need a naval base there bc it´s 2 spaces away from moroco or W Africa. Buying 2 or 3 extra transports is not that an investment if later on (turn 5 ot 6) you stop chucking to W Africa but converg with a built up allies fleet on gibraltar. This is just in the early game when you are at war but are not strong enough to go for gibraltar. You have the fast movers in the US, so why not use them for what they are made…
@Argothair no you don´t from Mexico it´s 2 spaces to gibraltar or West Africa.
I said West africa, not Congo. It is within range of the US and out of range of german subs. Total cost 21 IPC on tpt and 6 for 2 inf… you already have the mechs and 2 inf.
@TheDesertFox if axis leave that door open then you go for morocco but our German players on G1 buy fleet and the occasional bomber and sub to keep allies at arms length so Japan can expand. This was just one idea to prevent that arms race but still help UK and you can invest in pacific.
@Argothair @oysteilo
The mech inf can reach egypt 2 rounds after landing so if Japan DOW1 you can have units there US3 and a lot on US4 so one turn later in Middle east, the same time when Germany or japan break out in the caucasus or India.
Going via gibraltar more often than not leads to units stacked in gibraltar doing nothing.
The transports can get back to Mexico in 1 Turn so you need to built units in Center US and move them to Mexico. That way you can Chuck units from Mexico to West africa.
@Argothair US can also support UK via West Africa in case Germany has a fleet and bombers to protect (dark skies). In stead then of building up an arms race in the Atlantic while Japan is growing, there is a more cheap and fast way getting US troops in the Middle East:

Exact buys can differ of course, it´s more the concept i want to explain.
@Arthur-Bomber-Harris we have almost the same sequence with Germany. Does your Japan always DOW on J1?
What can US do with one buy in the pacific?
KGF is easier in theorie but i honestly think KJF more often gives US more money and stops japan more easy. Bc germany can easily stop the Allies or at least delay them.
@Arthur-Bomber-Harris yes the all out rush to moscow is hard for allies to defend against but also makes for a boring game. Playing with a german fleet buy on G1 buys germany time to built up a land mass bc they can keep allies away from gibraltar and it opens opportunities for germany to enter the Med which helps italians around gibraltar. We´re not novice players but searching for alternatives strategies.
The Allies in your games, Do they go KGF or kJF?
@Arthur-Bomber-Harris couldn´t italy simply go Syria and take greece so on I2 they can Chuck in more troops and go after Iraq and more bonusses. Gibastion is nice but has so much “what ifs” and italy has more options towards egypt.
