@derpsa As Germany you have to eliminate the Allied warships in Sea Zones 110 and 111. If you don’t sink these ships, the Allies will quickly be able to launch amphibious assaults against you. Then you’ll have a lot of trouble holding on to France and you’ll never make it into Russia.

Air Craft Carriers can carry 2 planes (Tactical Bombers or Fighters, Strategic Bombers cannot land on carriers. So the possible combinations are 2 fighters, 2 Tac Bombers, or 1 Fighter and 1 Tac Bomber). Transports can carry any 1 land unit + an infantry (so 1 infantry + tank, 1 infantry + artillery, 2 infantry, etc.)

Your basic strategy is correct (there really isn’t much Russia can do in this game but delay the inevitable and save as many troops as possible for Moscow), though I’d emphasize the UK’s immediate priority is dissuading a Sea Lion attack (easy) and establishing Naval supremacy in the Med (usually not that hard after the Taranto Raid).
I would also heavily recommend taking S. France on Germany’s first turn and looking to help the Italians in the Med. In order to win as the Axis, you need 8 Victory cities, which means you have to take either Cairo or London, and the easiest time to take these are early game before the America come’s barreling in. It’s tricky, but this game definitely isn’t friendly to the Axis powers.

there’s not a general concensus. Many opinions vary on USA income and Russia.

Meant One map only for a shorter game.was talking Europe, but have a few problems with Pacific concerning set up, especially
Vis a Vis missing Russian Inf. In pacific only Japan should not be allowed to empty Manchuria and Korea as Russia borders them. Played a friend who sailed his Us fleet to Australia on T2 , before my T3 DOW. Was legitimate, but I feel it should not be. I now accept T2 DOW is seen as all as best. Would like to see a clarification of stand alone NOs and starting set ups. Sorry if I sound unclear.

No problem! It is however different from the AA50. There are no tokens anymore, so every 5 IPC is a one chance die only. I think our first houserule will be to get those tokens back, but at a higher price. There is relatively more IPC to go around, so I think 6, 7 or 8 is a better price. Or as I read somewhere that you need to pay an upkeep of 1 IPC every turn.

what are those russian units in the med?

why are they so brown-red?  surely they could have made them more distinct, or made russia less brown.

Targeted attacks would be a nice rule, perhaps you would select your target and then attack at 1 less than your normal attack value.

IMTO, I don’t think the level of detail in A&A combat supports targeted attacks unless the Techs you’re envisioning are jet power + Harpoons / ALCMs.
