I had a brainwave looking at the pieces that come with the new version of Risk  - their "city" pieces are perfect as Major Industrial Complexes!

The cost is $2.50 for 15 cities (you get a set of blue arrows as well, they are in the same bag):

Oooh... this might work.

I am typically adverse to using pieces from different games together, but these may be an exception. I can use the old Industrial Complexes for minor ones, since we have huge amounts of the old ones.

That is a great idea!  I just tried it out and it looks good.  And they are so cheap!  (I took mine from my dusty RISK set)

I don't suppose you guys at FMG would be able to create some pieces for IC and Air/Naval Bases? Like you are doing with other pieces?

White complex - minor
Gray complex - major

Puts to use my A&A classic pieces.

Exactly! if you look at the Risk pieces, one of the four "buildings" is an Axis & Allies IC complex - so use the old gray IC's as Minor Complexes, and these as Major Complexes.

FMG, can you post a pic of both pieces together for comparison?

Yeah one of the buildings is like an A&A IC... except that it doesn't have the smoke stacks.

Is there much of a size difference between the two (AA and Risk ICs)?

I don't know - I think the entire piece (Risk) is the size of an IC (A&A) - FMG, do you have a picture?

Or mail it in - either one works.

A bit old school, but I think it helps them cut down on orders. I highly doubt they make much on these orders at all.

Just wish I wasn't paying Hasbro for monopoly pieces that I could use to cover a deficiency in A&A.

Kind of like asking your wife if the guy she's sleeping with could walk the dog while you're out of town.

Actually this is a good idea too. You could even glue them to some sort of base plate so they don't move around. You might need some extra pieces if you wanted to do that though... which I happen to have lots of.
