"Conquest" of Friendly territory - who gets control of factory and IPCs?

  • I have a rule question.

    The situation:

    Japan has lost its capital.
It controls India which has a factory and has a few troops there.
Germany sends in tanks/soldiers to india, of course with not battle.

    Question:

    • Does Germany now get the IPCs?
    • Can Germany build troops using the factory?

    thanks

  • No if Japan conquered the territory it is technically in Japanese control and you will gain no IPC’s until Japan gains back its capitol.

  • OK then, how does Germany get control of India and its factory?

    1. Does it attack and destroy the Japanese Units?
    2. Could the Japanese units move out for one turn, leaving the German units alone? then move back.

    I am confused.

  • Ger can only take Ind after the allies captured it from Jap.

  • It doesn’t really matter, The game is already over with japan taken out. I think it would be ok to let germany attack japanese forces. I would allow it. Makes my job easier.

  • The for an ally’s territory when that ally’s capital has fallen is…

If the territory is liberated from the enemy, then the ally nation that liberated it gets control of it and any infrastructure (AA, IC) that are present.  This includes collecting income.  However, upon liberation of the capital that originally owned that territory, ALL such “protectorates” return to the original nation immediately.

Ally nations cannot seize control of “hold out” territories where the vestiages of a previous ally are still “holding out” against the enemy despite the loss of their capital.
