Honestly, it would have to depend on what England did. If they took Borneo and New Guinea, sunk the Submarine in SZ 45 and sunk the Transport in SZ 59 then Japan would be in a REALLY bad place on Japan 1.

If all they did was move into position, then I would eliminate China (to get the fighter) and then plan to make a massive dump in FIC on Japan 2 (with a complex on Japan 2) to try and get India. It’s the most secure victory you’d have probably. Either way, if you force the allies to dedicate their firepower there, you MIGHT be able to get Russia weak enough that Germany can tank dash (as in 8-12 tanks a round) into Russia

The rule for holding VC’s is that at teh end of the US’s move (the complete turn of play) X number of VC’s are controlled by one side or the other.

8 VC’s is basically an Axis win (except in very special cases like a 2 turn limit test game where Russia goes suicidal in defense of the Allied VC’s)

Instead of 8, play for 9 for victory.

When one side or the other controls 9 VC’s at the end of a turn, then there is basically no doubt as to what side won.

Heavy bombers also kick the living krap out of navies for their cost. The closest a navy can get is 24 IPCs for a battleship for 1 roll of 4 + absorption, but here comes the heavy bomber that is 3/8 cheaper and rolls two 4’s……

But is it even possible to hold off a British / U.S. invasion in Europe while attacking Africa, all the while getting bombed? I would think not, unless one had lucky rolls. And if Russia was smart they would take advantage of the situation and pick apart any scattered German positions. In this situation, I think Japan has to do its part flawlessly, whatever that may be. Annoying U.S., trying to help roll up Russia, taking NZ Australia and India?

Sounds like a tough decision to make.
