Or when the oil blob kills Tasha Yarr! Everyone’s seen that episode!
Yeah… that was the most lame death of a primary character I have ever seen.
I’m a big fan of Dune and the entire series, even though Dune was by far the best. I’ve been meaning to read Solaris by Stanislav Lem, but I need to find a copy of it first.
1984 by Geoge Orwell - true masterpiece about what could happen
Lord Toede by Jeff Grub - funniest book ever
Pale Fire 8)
what do you think is better 1984 or animal farm?
enjoyed Animal Farm better.
also it showed more insight into the human consciousness. 1984 less so.
ya I think I like animal farm better too
i like “brave new world”…
it depicts a future that could well happen some day… if you don’t take the words, but the ideas behind it…
I don’t see why Animal Farm is that good… :-?
Brave New World is very good book. 8)
I like Animal farm because anyone can enjoy it, from a 6 year old to a 80 year old.
Brave New World, good book. Holy Ford!
I am going to name 2 books because I can’t pick between them:
“The Hot Zone” - True to life horror about ebola and its ilk.
“The Art of War” - 'nough said.
Let Freedom Ring - Sean Hannity
Woops, that was me.
Let Freedom Ring - Sean Hannity
Animal Farm was good. NEver read 1984 though.
Sean Hannity is good…

Both interesting books. If you like “The Hot Zone”, then make sure you read Invisible Invaders by Peter Radetsky (i think the subtitle is “the scientists who persue them”).
The art of war is a good read, however not as a novel. Kind of goes down like a book of quotations. If you’re into sales (which is one reason this book gets read a lot) - Steven Covey is another classic read.
Loved Alan Hobson. One of the most bittersweet texts i’ve read in the same genre as he is “Into Thin Air”.

Sounds interesting. I’ll look for it, thanks! I find catagious disease to be a very interesting topic.
@TG:
eh, that book was so-so… :-?
why dont you like animal farm!?
The story is too simplistic, too predictable, too boring… :-?
And what is that; animal farm ?
