I know Jermo plays, I’d be curious to hear if anyone has a team going, and what you have in your lineup. I’ll post some of mine soon. I think 8 teams was probably overdoing it.

Any players you have high hopes for? On one of my teams I have Jake Locker as my starter, someone I think has the potential for a breakout season. Kenny Britt comes back, and Kendall Wright is showing promise. Also, Donald Brown as Luck’s RB. With the speed he’s shown in the latter end of 2011’s season and this preseason, he’s likely to surprise as well. What do you think?

Pretty solid, totally unfair to have Peterson/Jones-Drew. They should give you a great year.

  • I hope they do well, Peterson coming off knee surgery and Jones-Drew just signed.  Last year I got screwed by Chris Brown, he didn’t do anything for the first 6 or 7 games.

I like Jake Locker and I think Kenny Britt will do great this year after his suspension.

    Good Luck in FFB.

  • I’m in only one league this year. I’ve got a decent team with some potential.

QB - Peyton Manning, Joe Flacco

WR - Wes Welker, Titus Young, Eric Decker, Pierre Garcon, Santana Moss

RB - LeSean McCoy, Doug Martin, Ryan Williams

TE - Aaron Hernandez, Greg Olsen

    DEF - NE, NYG

K - Nate Kaeding, Stephen Gostowski

The one I auto-drafted last night:

    QB: Matt Ryan
    RB: Arian Foster, Donald Brown
    WR: Jordy Nelson, Jeremy Maclin
    Flex: Torrey Smith, Isaac Redman
    TE: Jimmy Graham
Bench: Malcolm Floyd, Heyward-Bey, Mario Manningham, Randy Moss, and a few junk players I’m sending to the wire… My hope is to get Greg Olsen as my backup TE and either Doug Baldwin or Steve Breaston as another backup.
DEF: Currently the Bills, but I am angling to get Bengals.
K: Neil Rackers, waiving for Lawrence Tynes

  • You guys need to step up to the big boy leagues and go IDP….

Drafts that I miss I usually end up getting Vick (I hate my life)…Vick is fantasy poison, so it has instantly doomed my teams…

Won last year’s football by having Brady, Megatron, Jordy Nelson…1st year I had poo for RBs (Bradshaw, Jacobs, McGahee) and did well…I guess that’s the way the NFL is going…will show you some IDP rosters here later.

I realize its a football thread, but one of my hockey leagues needs to replace one team for a keeper league…PM me if you are interested, I can send settings and the roster (you currently get to keep two players that you drafted, 1 from rounds 1-7, and 1 from the lower rounds).

I would keep the Bills D, and have a backup plan for the Pats.  Other than that, the Bills D should provide you lots of points this year.

Thanks for the advice. I played an IDP league last year actually, and I wouldn’t mind playing it again, the problem is the guy didn’t activate the league, and I didn’t have enough people to assemble my own. I’ll have to work that up for next year.

  • Below is a look at my “main” team that I’ve owned for many seasons now.  I’m in about 8 leagues myself (but did 24 baseball leagues, so now who’s foaming at the mouth?).  It’s a Keeper league where you can only hold on to 2, but they get drafted one round higher than the round from last year (ie. I took Megatron Rd2, so now he’s a Rd1 for me)….I forgot to draft a K and I’m one DL short, so I had to get a K, but still one DL short…waiting for a trade proposal to free up a spot or see what I can do without it.  I’m last year’s champ, so I have a lot at stake…wonder if I should have held onto Brady instead of Megatron…we’ll see if that bites me…

    J. Cook is going to be a great sleeper this year!

  • @Guerrilla:

    J. Cook is going to be a great sleeper this year!

I’m thinking the Ten. offense is going to be in beast mode this year….great bunch of receivers and I expect the running game to turn around completely.  Gronk got drafted in Rd22 last year in my league so I’m hoping for similar magic for me this year!

  • Moderator

Yeah, I drafted Gronk early, and perhaps too early, but I think he is honestly going to remain that dependable target for Brady. I think Lloyd will just take away long bombs from Welker, and Aaron Hernandez is always going to sub out for Gronk, so there is no loss of production for them, except perhaps any that would have been lost because of a balance of play time.

    GG

Here is another team I drafted:

    QB: Jake Locker
    RB: Stephen Jackson
    RB: Shonn Greene
    WR: Antonio Brown
    WR: Percy Harvin
    TE: Rob Gronkowski
    DF: Seattle
    K: Garrett Hartley

BN: Nate Washington, Jared Cook, Randall Cobb, Brandon Lafell, Leonard Hankerson, Brandon Wheedon (need some kind of Backup).

This one I think will be a wildcard team this year, either it busts or at leasts surprises everyone and takes me to the playoffs. I doubt I can win the league with it, but I love the upsides and the risks.

  • I love the Nate Washington/Cook bench…you should try to trade Gronk for a RB…I have no faith in the Jets, and I don’t know if Greene will ever produce like college/1st two pro years.  I agree about the Lloyd factor…keep an eye out for Juron Criner in Oakland…I feel by week 3 or 4, this guy is going to make a name for himself.

  • This is a PPR (.5 pt) league, QB’s are 6 pt TDs

    1. (1) Ray Rice            RB
    2. (24) Ryan Mathews    RB
    3. (25) Wes Welker        WR
    4. (48) Mike Wallace      WR
    5. (49) Antonio Gates      TE
    6. (72) Isaac Redman    RB
    7. (73) Michael Crabtree  WR
    8. (96) Torrey Smith        WR
    9. (97) Matt Schaub        QB
    10. (120) Roy Helu            RB
    11. (121) Sidney Rice        WR
    12. (144) Andy Dalton        QB
    13. (145) Seattle                DEF
    14. (168) John Kasay          K
    15. (169) Santana Moss      WR

    Since draft day:
Date Player Type From To By
Sep 5 8:29am Dropped Andy Dalton  for Robert Turbin (Sea - RB)
Sep 5 6:55am Dropped S. Moss for Ronnie Brown (SD - RB)
    Aug 22 2:24am Dropped J. Kasay for Dan Bailey (Dal - K)

    Leaves my starting lineup as
    QB:  Schaub
    RB1: Rice
    RB2: Redman
    WR1:  Welker
    WR2: Wallace
    TE: Gates
    (flex)
    W/R/T: T. Smith
    K: Bailey
    Def: Sea

    Now here’s the Questions:
    RB2?  Stick with Redman?  Or
Ronnie Brown  (likely starter-Matthews not going to play) or Turbin if Lynch is out?

WR2:  Stick with Wallace?  Rusty, tough Denver Def (DBs)
could bring in Crabtree or even Sidney Rice

Opinions on starting line-up are appreciated.  Thanks!

  • QB’s are 4 pt TDs
    Round Pick Player Position
    1. (1) Ray Rice                RB
    2. (24) Ryan Mathews  RB
    3. (25) Julio Jones          WR
    4. (48) Brandon Lloyd  WR
    5. (49) Peyton Hillis        RB
    6. (72) Brandon Pettigrew TE
    7. (73) DeSean Jackson  WR
    8. (96) Michael Bush        RB
    9. (97) Jay Cutler            QB
    10. (120) Anquan Boldin WR
    11. (121) Jake Locker      QB
    12. (144) New England    DEF
    13. (145) Mike Goodson  RB
    14. (168) Nate Kaeding      K

    Week 1 starting line-up
    QB:  Cutler
    RB1: Rice
    RB2: M. Bush
    WR1: J. Jones:
    WR2: B. Lloyd
    TE: Pettigrew
    K: Kaeding
    Def: NE

    Now here’s the Question:
RB2?  Stick with Bush or go with Hillis?

Opinions on starting line-up are appreciated.  Thanks!

I’d probably stick with Peyton, Bush remains a 2nd string back, and KC is going to run, even though I like the matchup against Indy better.

  • I went from 3 leagues to 1 this year.  Won last year, tied my brother in regular season, tied in the championship game and won on tie breakers.  My secret weapon was picking up CJ Spiller and playing him in a WR spot (he was marked as RB and WR for some reason) so I had 4 RBs and 1 WR.

Drafted 9th of 10 this year:

    R1: MJD
    R2: Matthew Stafford
    R3: Victor Cruz
    R4: Julio Jones
    R5: Reggie Bush
    R6: Johnathon Stewart
    R7: Fred Davis
    R8: Desean Jackson
    R9: Texans D/ST
    R10: Kevin Smith
    R11: David Akers
    R12: Matt Schaub
    R13: Laurent Robinson
    R14: Rashard Mendenhall
    R15: Jets D/ST
R16: Davone Bess (wanted drop this pick on a promising rookie, but couldn’t find anything in the time allowed)

Already have won my first game, score attached

Jermo, awesome! I’ll have to post some of my matchups after tomorrow evening.

  • Ugh….good to see all my D picks came through, but none of my receivers produced (especially when I have Nelson, Megatron, and Vincent Jackson) out there…and I lost Locker as my backup…it’s only a sep shoulder, but that’s going to put him down for a bit…

RG3 did what I thought he could do…good for him…I hope he continues to prove me right that he’ll be better than Luck…

I guess this weekend was the weekend of the INT…
