If you’re still looking for a solution, provided you still have a brick and mortar video store nearby, you could take the disc into them and have them put it in the disc polisher to cut through those scratches. Most of the time they used to do it free of charge too since they couldn’t be sure if it would work.
Hasbro 1998 cd-rom game
-
so i too was disappointed that the link for the game no longer works, but i still have the old cd rom as well as the 1.3.3 patch from maybe 15 years ago. i like the 1998 version of the game, but perhaps i will try the triple a version at some point. i will gladly help anyone interested in getting the old version of the game. for me i wanted to play it without the cd, so i used daemon tools lite (free) to mount and image of the disc in a virtual drive (i use windows 10). if you explore the auto load file and select compatibility preferences/ windows 95- (yeah i know) it launches and plays the game perfectly and all the cinematics are intact. i did have to apply the patch as well. i hope this helps someone else.
i also found the 6.0 files for windows 7 on my old pc, so if you are looking for those (which were in the old link that no longer works) apparently i picked that up a while back too. just pm me and i’ll drop box whatever you are looking for.
thanks
